Fire Pete Carroll

Unread post by RenoRaiders75 »

I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

I couldn't agree more. No more trying to make the Raiders into something we are not. And as hard as it is for me to agree and say it, I also agree that we need to let the Raider history be just that. We will never be those teams again. The current NFL wouldn't allow it!

A good analogy came to mind. A '67 Stingray in my opinion is the most beautiful car ever made. Back then it was the absolute "cream of the crop" for American sports cars. Looks, performance, everything.

Now, looks aside, put it against a current C8 ZR1, and the C8 would blows it's doors off without hitting 4th gear. It's time to start a new Raider way. Hopefully we are going to see it happen.

I guarantee you guys that if we lose the next game and Pete is back that they had a deal behind the scenes.

Yeah that what I think…

Go out and beat the patriots
Then tank the rest of the way….

And I think that is probably the case. Pete's going along with all of the IR moves because he got the memo and was assured that he will be here next year.

I could very well be wrong, though. Maybe we can put it in the betting thread?

BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:33 am Correct. That's going to be the only selling point. The #1 pick. But there should be plenty of young offensive minded coaches that will want to work with a high character guy like Mendoza.
I was thinking about this last night - Mendoza strikes me like an OC's dream. He may not be the most athletic QB prospect, but he seems to be very coachable, and has the talent/traits to be able to do all of the little things required to make an OC's scheme successful. Next might be too early, though.I think a top notch candidate would like to have a little more in place, and we will still have lots of holes this year. With some good drafts, however, maybe we could entice one of the top prospects to LV.

Well, we can add a betting line but we can never know the motivation for the outcomes. Memo or no.

Completely agree. I know we've said this before and hoped it would of worked last year with Ben Johnson but maybe Brady can have more of an influence on both HC and OC. I know people are turned off by the Chip Kelly disaster but im not completely sold that he was Brady's pick. He's gotta be good for something right?

The up an comers are confident in their abilities and eager to bet on themselves that they are the one that can turn this club around. Having a boatload of cap and the #1 pick will be enough enticement for the cream of the crop. Hopefully the Raiders go hunting for one of them.

Building an oline with a shit QB gets them to .500, see Derek Carr and car insurance, and out of franchise QB reach.

The question is does Pete have his RB.
He built a great team on Lynch and a franchise mobile QB.

Pete knows what hes doing. Mark needs to give him time to build and then he can hand a winning team over to a young HC.

A young HC and a 2 win team spells disaster, failure and firing.

Pete's mistake was overselling the team to the media

IF IF IF he doesn't have personnel control.

Big if.

No, it spells "rebuild the team."

And that is what we need.

I'm warming up to both players. They're all rooks in y1.

Does Pete have more winning experience than them all put together or close. If yes, Pete is good to have in control imo.
