Fire Pete Carroll
I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

Yup. Refuse to believe that Spytek and Brady had no say at all as Davis signed Carroll and traded for Geno. They’re all culpable at this point.srv5490 wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 6:23 pm There's not a single person associated with this franchise who deserves any benefit of the doubt. Enough bickering about who sucks more than whom - they all suck until they prove otherwise.

Carroll got asked about his nebulous future with the Raiders after the Giants game. Instead he sidestepped the question.
“From all the guys I've talked to, I do feel like I have their support. What does that mean? I don't know, but our conversations have been really good,” Carroll said via Ryan McFadden of ESPN.
But then he got asked if he's coming back next season.
“I have no comment to make about that. We're getting along great. We're communicating really well,” Carroll said.

Yea I'm not onboard with giving Spytek a free ride...we all know this shit show has to be torn down..well at least most of us, so he should not be safe in my book!Sold My Soul wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 7:21 pm Carroll got asked about his nebulous future with the Raiders after the Giants game. There can only be one head stooge.Jeevo wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 7:11 pm Yup. Refuse to believe that Spytek and Brady had no say at all as Davis signed Carroll and traded for Geno. They’re all culpable at this point.
Who sgned Brady? MO.
Who writes the checks? MO.
Who was stupid enough to believe, after the pats west fiasco, that hiring Brady, who knew all the right people..and had the influence to attract the best HC's to the Raiders? MO
Who still believes in Brady even after whiffing on all his HC's, and said..WTF..hire Gramps? MO.
Who lives vicariously through Brady? MO.
There is and can only be one head stooge.

Look at what Cohen, Johnson, Vrable, Canales have done...we have to find a Viable coach with half a f[raiders_icon]cking brain, or the 1st pick wont matter & hopefully Spytek can produce!!!

If we have the number 1 or 2 pick and plan on taking a QB, it would make zero sense to bring back Carroll and his kids.

Absolutely. Carroll should not be in charge of a young developmental teamRaider_Dave wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 7:59 pm If we have the number 1 or 2 pick and plan on taking a QB, it would make zero sense to bring back Carroll and his kids.

Only problem is that it not really a good idea to fire a HC after one season….

I think if we get the number 1 pick and the plan is to bring a rookie qb that nobody would blame the raiders for going after an offensive minded guy to go with him.
Lately everyone who’s drafted a top qb has fired the incumbent head coach during the rookie season. Bears, titans, panthers and jags all did it. Why waste a year of development.
If you fired Pete now and picked another defensive minded head coach I don’t think that’s a good look.

Yeah and if you want to save face, Pete can "retire" or something. It's time to do what other franchises do with a young/rookie qb. Hire an offensive minded hc and let them grow togetherBoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 6:14 am You're right. It's not a good idea....It's a GREAT idea.

I don't believe this team will a super bowl in my lifetime regardless of ownership. I gave up on that a few years ago. My only hope is they at least look competent and competitive for a good stretch. Maybe one day get that franchise QB.Toast wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 9:35 am Do any of you actually believe that Mark Davis will ever win a Super Bowl? As this season concludes this team does not even appear as though it can stay out of its own way.

Spy's hands smell like shit as well. His draft (especially taking a WR a couple of rounds early while bypassing day 1 starting guards) and signing of Cappa should be enough to pink slip the f[raiders_icon]cker.pfish57 wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 7:26 pm Yea I'm not onboard with giving Spytek a free ride...we all know this shit show has to be torn down..well at least most of us, so he should not be safe in my book!
