Stock plays for 2026

Unread post by Rabidraider »

Thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who enjoys playing the stock market.

I'm working on taking a position on a company called Archer Aviation. (ARCH)

Electric plane start up with plans for taxis service and sales. The Dolphin owner is a big fan and is setting up a taxis service from his Country club to the Stadium for example.
Sales will be going to the Mideast as well.
Some FAA approvals in the works.
Defense contracts too.

Is George Jetson not far behind.

Too many people, much like our government, have a spending problem, not necessarily a revenue problem.
The underlying problem is the inability to defer gratification. I, like probably most here are children of people who were children during the great depression. I remember what my mother told me. When you want to buy something, think about it 10 times first. Then dont buy it.

My father died when I was young and had only 10k in insurance. I guess in 1966 that was decent. My mom lost the house in a year after spending most on the money on the funeral. That taught me to be frugal in some areas and to be a saver. Its really paid off over time.

LIFE LESSONS "THOSE THAT LEARN FROM EM DO WELL IN LIFE, THOSE THAT IGNORE EM USUALLY FAIL ...MY FATHER WAS DIRT POOR but worked hard all his life and eventually opened up a business and did well his partner scammed him and he ended up losing the business but that never stopped him he was determined to make it and started over again and succeeded as his former business partner watch his dream go up in flames

we were poor but my parents never ever let me and my brother feel how poor we were

I've seen this guys videos before.

He's right about those funds, anything that basically covers the whole S&P market is smart. But its for a long term play. If you dont need the money for 10 years or more its fine. At my age 3/4 of my money is in safe areas and 25% is individual risky high return plays.

I used to be in small index funds but being in retirement I don't want to take the risk. I think the current market is primed for a 20-30% correction. If it where to drop I might then play these type of funds.

Now if ARCH could pop, daddy gets a new Corvette...
