Kirk Cousins
I have rarely seen a QB do more with less. Kubiak has made it clear that he is the guy this year but his play has really defied conventional wisdom. The run blocking is as putrid as it was last season. The pass blocking has been getting compliments but how much as that has to do with Cousins's pocket presence and pre snap reads?
I am not sure the subject deserves its own thread but I think what he has accomplished this season cannot be overstated and he has essentially put the offense on his back. I don't think anyone saw this coming.
Thoughts?...

bmore will pay up, at 4-4 with zero qbs desperation sets up perfect for the over pay... spytek needs to play bmore like a fiddle especially with multiple teams really really needing qbsViper wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 5:33 am Pretty sure many here will despise the Ravens for years to come. That being said, business is business, and if they are top bidders in any deal, you take it. It’s more about us building a better team even when there might be personal feelings involved.
Feelings must be left outside the building, in your car or even in your wife’s purse, at all times.

4 and 4 they are in the race...no way are they rolling over and just giving up ...fleece emOpoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 3:19 pm Lamaar played one play yesterday and is now out for the season. They're cooked and they know it. Sure, if they want to exercise monumental stupidity, let's hear them out, but it's difficult to imagine it happening. We've certainly done our share of stupid things (see Carson Palmer), but we can't count on it anyone else being as dumb as this team's been in the past.
ps wonder what minny would be willing to pony up, they are 6 and 1 with a great team, only thing holding em down is kyler murray whom has been horrible this yr ...anyone think they roll into the playoffs with kyler murray the shrimp

I think the problem with the idea of a Baltimore trade is, does Cousins look even half this good in their system? It truly is like a perfect marriage currently between Kubiak system and Cousins.

agree superbowl windows r incredibily small and the viking have a great team minus a good qb and lets not forget kirk has history in minnyOpoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 3:15 pm Nothing less than a first. We have a QB who's doing well while our shiny new rookie gets to learn from him, so if the Vikes want him, they're going to have to pay through their collective bunghole. They're 6-1 and have a kick-ass defense. What they don't have is a quarterback. They'd be 7-0 right now with decent QB play.
If they want Cousins, they need to make it impossible for us to say no.

lets not kid ourselves bmore with huntley was winning games and he sucks, kirk would be a huge upgrade to their entire offense in every way passing and running, right now bmore entire offense has ground to a halt as teams compress to stop henry not fearing zay flower, mark andrews and company as passing threats due to no qbs worth a damn on the teamJRaider17 wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 10:52 am I think the problem with the idea of a Baltimore trade is, does Cousins look even half this good in their system? Maybe they can take Jeanty instead. Then they would have a shrimp duo. They could call em Bubba and Gump. Or Scampi and Skewer.mstrbass2000 wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 10:49 am 4 and 4 they are in the race...no way are they rolling over and just giving up ...fleece em

I did not bring up Sauce you did. I thought it was an odd comparison and made no sense. I replied and now you come back with QB is a different position? No shit. If you guys want to dream of a huge bounty for Cousins go for it. I hope we do but Im not counting on itWillmark wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 10:46 am QB operates like no other position in all of sports. There isn’t even 32 good starters to go around as is. As such the rules for other positions don’t really apply to QB.
Sauce could be the second coming of Deion; it doesn’t matter, he’s not a QB.
A team desperate enough or believing they are in the cusp and feels they “need just one more piece” for a playoff push might attempt to trade for him. Again so it’s not misconstrued, I used Gardner as an example of equivalency but as an example of a team acting for perceived need prior to the trade deadline.

Yes as a comparison and my usage of him was clear: an example of a team making a choice before the deadline, nothing more.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 11:45 am I did not bring up Sauce you did. I explained it further because I could see how it would be misconstrued and it was.
