Kirk Cousins
I have rarely seen a QB do more with less. Kubiak has made it clear that he is the guy this year but his play has really defied conventional wisdom. The run blocking is as putrid as it was last season. The pass blocking has been getting compliments but how much as that has to do with Cousins's pocket presence and pre snap reads?
I am not sure the subject deserves its own thread but I think what he has accomplished this season cannot be overstated and he has essentially put the offense on his back. I don't think anyone saw this coming.
Thoughts?...

And in years past? Those teams with bad records we are beating?Xramfan wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:30 am The teams we have won against this year have a combined record of 5-24.
We are beating the teams that are bad which is a good thing but we aren’t ready for the post season by a long shot.
As someone else just said, this is the 2027 preseason for me and I am enjoying it.
I really like Kirk Cousins but I’d trade him and Max in a heartbeat for the right offer as we need a WR1 and trenches trenches trenches.
I like both players but I don’t feel they are the future
We’d find a way to lose to them.

Pundits are mentioning Kirk to the Vikings. They have a top defense but the QB play hasn't been good. Kirk has history there...
Could we get a 3rd for him?

bmore at 4 and 4 is still in the hunt...fleece em ...can we flip off aoc to philly cause their backup stinks and cant throw straightOpoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 8:14 am If Baltimore and Philly accepted that their seasons are lost, there's no chance they'll give up high picks in an attempt to make the postseason. Talking about getting a boatload of great picks is fun, but it's not going to happen.

And I hope very much we do.heavyD wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 9:42 am I don't think the Raiders will trade him. Seems like they really want to stick to their plan.
The fans are impatient because of decades of crap.
I’m willing to deal with the rebuild if it means years of sustained success.

Yes we beat bad teams and lose to good teams, but we also have a lot of tough teams on the schedule.
I’m a little frustrated that we just played KC, New England, Buffalo and the Rams, we get one easier game on the road on the other side of the country, and now we face SF, Seattle and Denver. And even after that we get an “easier” game against the Browns who are 5-3.

I agree for the most part but if we can get a first and/or 2nd round pick for KC we should jump on it. Not because I am impatient but rather I think it is prudent and timely. I’m not considering a post season run when making this decision. I’m thinking long term.Willmark wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 11:09 am And I hope very much we do.

I concur with Eli Manning who recently said sitting and observing on the sidelines is very beneficial but there is only so much one learns there. After 6-8 games of watching is about the limit and now live play is what is needed for best development. If some want to wait until we are officially out of the playoff hunt that’s fine but the trade deadline is rapidly approaching and that window will be closed soon.

Nothing less than a first. We have a QB who's doing well while our shiny new rookie gets to learn from him, so if the Vikes want him, they're going to have to pay through their collective bunghole. They're 6-1 and have a kick-ass defense. What they don't have is a quarterback. They'd be 7-0 right now with decent QB play.Rabidraider wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 9:26 am Pundits are mentioning Kirk to the Vikings. They have a top defense but the QB play hasn't been good. If they want Cousins, they need to make it impossible for us to say no.

Lamaar played one play yesterday and is now out for the season. They're cooked and they know it. Sure, if they want to exercise monumental stupidity, let's hear them out, but it's difficult to imagine it happening. We've certainly done our share of stupid things (see Carson Palmer), but we can't count on it anyone else being as dumb as this team's been in the past.mstrbass2000 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 9:55 am bmore at 4 and 4 is still in the hunt...fleece em ...can we flip off aoc to philly cause their backup stinks and cant throw straight
