NFL Trade Deadline
Ok maybe this doesn’t need its own thread but the deadline is 5 weeks away. I know the next couple weeks will determine if we are buyers but let’s say we get to 5-2 do we make a move?
I really wish we still had Jakobi here but it sounds like a few guys might be available…
Brian Thomas Jr
Marvin Harrison Jr
Jerry Jeudy
Thoughts?

No, this would be a move for a contender, not a rebuildermstrbass2000 wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 11:11 am Vita Vea

ESPN’s Dan Graziano believes Vita Vea could be traded before the NFL’s trade deadline.
With the Bucs’ 2026 season circling the drain, Vea, 31, could be dealt in the coming weeks to a contending team looking to beef up their defensive line for a second half run to the postseason. In coming to a contract compromise with Vea before the regular season, the Bucs “didn’t act as if he was part of their long-term future, and if teams come looking for a big, run-stuffing defensive tackle, Tampa would be silly not to listen,” Graziano said. Vea through Week 6 has a 17 percent pass rush win rate, which ranks 15th among defensive tackles. - Denny Carter

Any of you guys ever consider trading Jeanty to some poor unsuspecting team and getting an offensive guard in return?

Sure, just trade him to a team that doesn't watch film, doesn't scout opponents, and is basically clueless. How many teams like that are there? I guess when Al Davis was in his last years, the Raiders appeared to qualify.erickench wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 3:41 pm Any of you guys ever consider trading Jeanty to some poor unsuspecting team and getting an offensive guard in return?

CBS just ran a story about players that deserve to be in a new place and guess who they feature? Our Maxx... Those two first rounders we did not get sure look better and better to me. Oh well, I like seeing him play for us.

Would love to move him. I never would have drafted him

I get the frustration with Jeanty but I don’t think the book is finished being written about him. Last year was a deplorable scheme and line and he still had the most yards after Initial contact usually behind the LOS.
This year he began well enough but then got hurt. I think he still is somewhat and now opposing teams are stacking the box. I am concerned about his recent case of the dropsies. We shall see if that continues.
Not his fault where he was drafted but I’m holding out hope he will end up being a very good running back when healthy.
I’ll give him more time before I want him gone

I agree. I didn't want to draft him, but that was just a positional preference that high in the draft. I still think he might be really good, even if he doesn't live up the 6th overall expectations.Xramfan wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 4:15 pm I get the frustration with Jeanty but I don’t think the book is finished being written about him. I'd deal Jeanty if the price is right...I much prefer a RB that is explosive and a threat to score from anywhere on the field...And if some team were to ante up for Crosby I'd deal him too for picks......Whether or not Spytek can hit on those picks is the biggest question...He better nail the next draft because the team needs some immediate difference makers from the early rounds, specifically in the trenches.

Zero concerns about Jeanty. He’s 100% injured. Ankle sprain + plantar fasciitis don’t go away in a week especially when you’re getting crushed. O-line still doing no favours. Apparently we’ve had internal discussions about shutting him down for a week or 2 and he just won’t go for it.Xramfan wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 4:15 pm I get the frustration with Jeanty but I don’t think the book is finished being written about him. Talking heads seem to think Jeanty will end up as an "All purpose back", what ever the hell that means.
I still want to see Washington's numbers with lots of reps over a few games to see if his numbers play out.

Jeanty has shown potential to be an excellent 3rd down back. He blocks pretty well and runs really good routes. Hes got to be able to hold onto the ball consistently however

I have noticed balls that are over his shoulders and higher seem to be a problem for him. Lower throws seem to be fine.DanKD wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2026 8:47 pm Jeanty has shown potential to be an excellent 3rd down back. He blocks pretty well and runs really good routes. It is clear that Jeanty is not 100%. Does anyone know if Jeanty aggravated his injury along the way? He has had a couple of good games and some garbage games. I would hope they shut him down in the near future (now that our schedule becomes a mother f[raiders_icon]cker). We have to look at the big picture (which is not this season). I still firmly believe that our 1-2 at RB is going to be one of the leagues best once we figure out the OL and get rid of some trash OL (bye Burford).
