The Run Game

Unread post by Be_Easy_25 »

Why is it so poor?

Is the OL?
Is Jeanty not seeing the holes?
We need a legit WR to open things up?

Please advise.

One thing we are not privy too is the team doctors. Its possible theyve said it wont matter much if he rests or not. If the main issue is the plantat fascitis, isnt that one that resting a week of two wont heal? Youd either need to sit several weeks or find ways to manage it?

I think this needs to be emphasized. Jeanty's injury was most likely downplayed by Kubiak. The whole team knelt in prayer when they saw it go down. There's a ton of context we as fans never get, we can only form conclusions on gameday. For me, Jeanty looks hobbled compared to how he looked last year.

If Cousins survives the next 6 games it will be a miracle...Doza will be seen sooner than later.

Jeanty needs space. Our OL isn't doing it. The A gap runs are a freaking joke.
when your facing 8 in the box, your outmanned on the screen cause the safety is ready to fill any gap that the linebacker misses plus the chances of a int is high cause everyone is up close to the line

the raiders biggest problem is not having a wr that can threaten the back 4

having laube get most of the carries and touches over washington was asinine ...dudes our most explosive back period and he is also our biggest back

plantar is something that will bother a rb all year long even with rest, the risk is tearing it and having the player go missing ros in many cases other injuries pop up from a player favoring one leg more the other

Laube is the Eichenburg of the offence...should not be on the field except on special teams.

laube shouldn't be on the team. Him just making the 53 man roster indicates how much this team needs a lot more talent added to it.

NoThanksSir wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 4:54 am Jeanty's route running is good enough that I think you need to keep feeding him targets. He'll never have WR hands but he can be good enough to be a serious threat in the passing game. As for the off tackle runs, I do think those plays highlight how hobbled Jeanty is. He really lacks the initial burst to get around the edge. While I don't think Washington is the antidote to our run game woes that most believe him to be, we should absolutely shut Jeanty down until he's 100% and give Washington an opportunity to prove he can handle more responsibilities.
Oh, I agree. He actually played WR in high school and caught a lot of passes at Boise State. We saw what he was capable of in the Texan's game last season.

There needs to be at 1 change on the oline to have any chance of improving the running game. If the coaching staff does nothing then expect to see more of the ineptitude

Team doctors or not, when you see a player hobbling around on the field and clearly not 100%, he needs to be on the sideline. At that point he isn't helping. Im all for Kubiak but he's had some very curious decisions so far in his young hc career

I'm not going to crap on Kubiak. We found our coach and its going to take some time to get this thing rolling. Having said that, my patience meter for this team is at zero. To know that the last time we were really good was with Gannon. That 3-0 start made me a bit giddy. Back down to reality now but hopefully sometime soon Kubiak will make us relevant again.

He could start by benching Burford.

Exactly. All you need is eyes to see if a guy is healthy or not on the field.
