No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

A 5th or lower and I'd do it. Anything more then the Cards can find someone else or keep a disgruntled playerJeevo wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 9:47 am I’d be disappointed if it was us. Supposedly they wanted a 2nd plus something else but if I were them I’d pray that someone offers a 3rd.

I was going to say I suppose I’d maybe take him as a reclamation project but the very most I’d offer was a 5.Hellbound wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 10:41 am A 5th or lower and I'd do it. Anything more then the Cards can find someone else or keep a disgruntled player

Schefter knows who it is, but he won’t report it as he’s afraid of losing his protected insider status.Hellbound wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 10:40 am Lol...let's tweet breaking news and then not name the other team involved in the trade

We only have 5 picks in 27, so...
PS anyone have a clue about potential comp picks? I know, talking about the draft but not in a bad way

Why isn’t Thornton active after practicing all week with our WR injuries? Is he part of a trade?

Coming back from a hamstring injury is no joke when it comes to getting in football shape. Plus, he's not a savvy WR who can function when he's not 100%. He doesn't even function that well when he's at 100%.LayneStaley wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 11:10 am Why isn’t Thornton active after practicing all week with our WR injuries? Is he part of a trade?

Those wanting to "kick the tires" are betting he wasn't his all in AZ. Because why else would you want him?Attyla wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 10:36 am If he played like ass because he did not want to be there, I have zero interest in the guy. I would not give up a toaster for that shit
It would be like a 6th or 7th at best.
Actually him wanting out and sitting is the only reason I'd consider it. Otherwise he's already proven a washout.

I think this team def needs a #1 WR. Harrison could be that volume guy.
Nicco is already that guy in Houston so it's tough to see why they'd want Harrison.
Arizona has a few decent WR's and a TE that commands targets.

I’ve heard Marvin is slow, lacks the ability to create separation, is a poor blocker and drops a lot of passes. Is this all true? I don’t want to dig into the stats so just curious if someone else has. I know he’s looked bad this season.

Arizonas almost gone out of their way to tank his trade value. His rookie numbers, while not as good as advertised were not “bust” numbers by any stretch. 62 catches, 885 yards, 8 TDs. He missed 5 games last year but if you aggregate his numbers, pretty close to his rookie numbers. And for what it’s worth, obviously not catching balls from Dan Marino.SkullCrusher wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 11:23 am Those wanting to "kick the tires" are betting he wasn't his all in AZ. But then this year… basically the invisible man/fulltime decoy. And I personally think there’s a lot more upside there, and the rumoured trade cost and rumoured market for him suggests it to some extent too.
The reality is it’s probably a culmination of issues for him at this point. An offence that doesn’t feature him at all. Probably some level of disgruntlement on his end with his low usage. Likely some damage to his confidence at this point.
I do think there’s a plausible outcome where the team trading for him gets dramatically better results than Arizona did. Not a guarantee… but I don’t think he’s close to “kick the tires” at this point.

Hell no to that spoiled little punk MHJ. It's a shame that he didn't learn from his father how to play this game. He just plays and acts like a spoiled little punk son of a NFL great. Who grew up thinking he was all that, that he was great before he did anything, that all he had to do was show up and the world owed him everything for existing.
Unless his dad guaranteed talking some serious shit to straightening this punk up, I don't think its worth any team trading for him unless its a 5th or later. f[raiders_icon]ck that 2 garbage.

Well, I am going to temper my comments a bit because might mouse was throwing him the ball. But in his first two years he has been without a doubt bust material. Not quite 900 yards his first year, he dipped last year by about a third. When he is targeted, he is best when he gets pressed at the line of scrimmage. But teams know this so they are lining up off to negate that. And it has worked. As mentioned, he has no interest in run blocking and he is often lazy to the ball when he is thrown off shoulder allowing the defender to slide inside to swat the ball way. He has straight line speed and demonstrated it on a 60 yard TD play but his hips are pretty ridged so he is not great on plays where he is asked to make cuts.LayneStaley wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 12:41 pm I’ve heard Marvin is slow, lacks the ability to create separation, is a poor blocker and drops a lot of passes. The biggest thing he has going for him is a change of venue. Someone needs to light a fire under him because he is currently WR2 or 3 on most teams.

He's about half a season away from being declared a huge bust.Jeevo wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 9:47 am I’d be disappointed if it was us. Supposedly they wanted a 2nd plus something else but if I were them I’d pray that someone offers a 3rd.
I'd give a 4th for him and nothing more. Maybe Kubiak could get more out of him, but if not, it wouldn't be that big of a loss.
