Don't be surprised what Washington can accomplish.
I won't be surprised at all. I just don't think he will supplant Jeanty as #1. I loved the pick.... and I'm loving the player. I won't be surprised or upset if he is as good as Jeanty in a different way. Hell..... give me two #1 RB's!

I'll assume this is sarcasm.

I am not comparing the 2 rb's. I think the book is obviously still out for Washington (and TBH, Jeanty as well). I was just pointing out that Washington has off the charts speed (and size as well). Sure he was caught from behind. That means shit (just like Jeanty getting caught from behind at least a few times last season). Here is hoping that they are a great tag team.

Over reaction. Miami's receivers are far worse. Hell, I can make a case that the Browns are right there with Miami. But we also have arguably the best pass catching TE unit in the league and we have nothing but pass catching RBs who could be the top pass catching unit in the league.

But, and this is where I am good with our offense, we all know that great RBs and TEs are a young QBs best friend. You got that, you go a long way in his development. And we have a lot of receivers who are short yard guys, another aspect of pass catchers that help a young QB develop. Bringing in some aged out former #1 receiver is not going to move the needle much at all. Get that guy once your guy has some experience but get a young guy, not some old guy who is going to demand touches. AJ Brown has now pushed himself out of two teams by bitching. You want that on a young team? Thank god you are not our GM

And straight line speed not the sole purpose of a running play. Brain is multitasking.

yeah, i wanted aj brown he would have made our offense so much better cause he is threat long/med which opens up lanes for bowers,jeanty/washington and our wr3's whom excel in short catches

having shitty wrs allow the defense to compact its defended spaces ...we literally have nothing that threatens a defense "kubiak said as much after game 2 of the preseason

who on this team could even sniff keenan allens or steph diggs jocks strap on running routes or finding open spaces for catches "bech, tucker and benson are all unreliable wrs

So you wanted a malcontent or Allen who is not the same guy he was even 5 years ago. Of your choices, only Diggs makes even a little sense but we are not ready for prime time. Why spend potentially 12 million for a receiver who will be aged by the time we are ready to compete when we can draft one of the top receivers next year, put him on a rookie deal and let him and Mendoza grow together.

We are building a team, not a bandaid.

It's not only running in shorts, 40's sole purpose as fast as you can straight.
During a play there is a lot more going on in your head that right there slows people down.
