Around the NFL
No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

They were the same. They were professional minor league team then merged with NHL and played in Oakland til they moved. Thru history they are now Dallas Stars.Jeevo wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 7:06 am I can’t remember the evolution of the naming but at one time there were the California Golden Seals in hockey, think they played in the Cow Palace. Not even sure if they’re the same franchise as the SF Seals.

Buckeyes for me (born there)SkullCrusher wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 8:28 am I see the baseball owners are talking lockout and working on a hard cap.
My stance has been I can't like the A's until new ownership, that guy has been a tight wad forever.
But perhaps if there is a cap, there will be a min/max, perhaps I can over look that asshole and be a fan again even in Vegas.
No Cal Bear fans out there?

Indoor stadium?mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 11:30 am The Bears announced that they have voted to advance stadium development plans in Hammond, Indiana.
While an exact site is still to be determined, the Bears have officially planned to move from their home state of Illinois. In a statement announced by the team on Friday, chairman George McCaskey and president and CEO Kevin Warren said “we believe a world-class stadium project in Hammond will transform the region.” We’ll likely know the exact location in the near future, but the team is one step closer to a state of the art indoor stadium.

We're from O H I O to. We went to the Bears vs Buckeye's game probably nearing a decade ago.
Buckeye's are my #2, USC #1, but I have a soft spot for my local Bears to.
I found out that day it's not that fun going to a game you like both teams.
Wife Buckeye's #1 all the way, enjoyed herself.

It should but with how baseball sits now, he still won't/can't compete at the top.mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 11:30 am now that the a's are in vegas, things could change (spending) dude like mark will be flush with cash unlike in oakland where he was exactly like mark (owned nothing)
My problem with him is part of the baseball problem I have in general, the haves and the have nots.

Cal for what they do on the field, they over-perform in sending quality players to the NFL.

Gonna have to give my 86 year old [Chicago] Bears fan buddy a call. I'll have to be ready for an earful though. Haven't talked since their blocked field goal attempt helped us land Fernando!
Edit: switched up Bears teams
