No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.

Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Cow Palace was south of town a bit (Daly City). Was only 8 then. All I remember was going down those stairs and into the arena.
Looking it up, all that comes up is Cow Palace. Must'a been!

Last time I was at the Cow Palace was for a Metallica concert in the 80’s when they were in their early days

I looked up SF Seals and it was a baseball team also so I didn't know. But underground basketball sounds really cool

I attended an NBA preseason doubleheader at the Cow Palace in I think 1966. The first game was the Lakers and Pistons. Saw West, Baylor, Dave Bing and Dave DeBusschere. The second game was the Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers. Thurmond, Attles, Hal Greer, and Wilt. My buddy and I were huge fans of Wilt. During the first game we spotted him sitting in the stands by himself. We (8th or 9th graders) thought we might get a handshake from our idol. When we got pretty close to him he said kind of forcefully-“go away boys — can’t you see I am trying to watch the game!” We were kind of crushed. We slunk back to our seats. I have never forgotten his exact words and it’s been 60 years.

I can’t remember the evolution of the naming but at one time there were the California Golden Seals in hockey, think they played in the Cow Palace. Not even sure if they’re the same franchise as the SF Seals.

One of the best shows Ive attended. They played everything they had up to that point and then began playing Stones, Hagar, Montrose, Van Halen, Zeppelin, anything and everything. When they opened the show they said they were playing all night long and they weren't joking. I think it was a 4 hour concert.

I see the baseball owners are talking lockout and working on a hard cap.
My stance has been I can't like the A's until new ownership, that guy has been a tight wad forever.
But perhaps if there is a cap, there will be a min/max, perhaps I can over look that asshole and be a fan again even in Vegas.

No Cal Bear fans out there?

The Bears announced that they have voted to advance stadium development plans in Hammond, Indiana.
While an exact site is still to be determined, the Bears have officially planned to move from their home state of Illinois. In a statement announced by the team on Friday, chairman George McCaskey and president and CEO Kevin Warren said “we believe a world-class stadium project in Hammond will transform the region.” We’ll likely know the exact location in the near future, but the team is one step closer to a state of the art indoor stadium.

Hammond is only like 20 minutes from Chicago. That's where my wife is from.
