If short arms Fano falls, and you have a choice between Fano and loane, what would you guys prefer?

I remember the 1981 49ers starting 3 rookies in their secondary, the average age of their starting lineup was 26. If Spytek hits this draft things can turn around very quickly considering the young talent that is on the roster. Still many holes to address though.
I don't believe I have ever looked forward to an NFL draft as I am this year.

With Fano or Mauigoa, you likely solve your RT problem. I wouldn't have an issue with either of the 3 tbh.Rabidraider wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:25 pm If short arms Fano falls, and you have a choice between Fano and loane, what would you guys prefer?

Even if it cost 14 and next years ravens pick? I just don’t think Reese or Bailey are can’t miss. Styles is very very interesting and would be perfect but I’m just not sure we can give up that type of capital.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 10:06 am I personally would absolutely trade up for Reese, Styles or Bailey.

It's a very good question. I'd have to look at the charts to see if it would cost that much. I'd likely consider it for Styles though.TrueFan420 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:49 pm Even if it cost 14 and next years ravens pick? I just don’t think Reese or Bailey are can’t miss. What if Caleb Downs is at 14? Safety gets devalued, could be possible. RT is a big need. You can't go into next year with Glaze at RT. I'm unfamiliar with tackle prospects in the draft outside of Mauigoa, Fano, Lomu

Texans got 3rd overall and a 4th round pick for 12, 33 (2nd round), 27 (1st round) the following year and a 4th the following year.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:52 pm It's a very good question. Guess it just depends on who else is there and if anyone if calling with a trade. I’d consider it but we have a lot issues and S is lower priority.Goodtimes333 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:56 pm What if Caleb Downs is at 14? Safety gets devalued, could be possible. RT is a big need. I would rather the lines being invested. It also depends on how free agency goes in a scenario where best player available is a tie while on the clock at 14. If the best safety in the class is there, a stud, it's not a shit pick. A trade down could be possible but there's no guarantee you get good value if no one heavily cares to move up. Pre draft speculation and falling in love with players is a silly errand. I get it, were Raider fans. But the staff and scouts have views and they know their system and plans for the systems. The last few years I've tried not to get too invested

Yea that's tough. Especially in a QB heavy draft next year, there should be some elite guys that fall. But if the Ravens are gonna be good like some are saying, that could be a late 1st. Styles would fit here like a glove though in the 3-4 and would be a defensive cornerstone. His comp is Fred Warner but more athletic.TrueFan420 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 2:14 pm Texans got 3rd overall and a 4th round pick for 12, 33 (2nd round), 27 (1st round) the following year and a 4th the following year.
I feel like all 3 of those guys are elite defensive cornerstones and all perfect fits in a 3-4.

Hard to predict right now what the Ravens are going to do next year, but I don't think the rest of the division has the juice to really challenge them other than possibly Cinci. But I see them as the AFC version of the NFC South so nobody is going to get overly excited about those teams and there will not be a wildcard coming from them if I am a betting man. I think they are going to earn us a mid teen to maybe higher next year.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 2:30 pm Yea that's tough. Anybody know Clemson ball? Blake Miller is interesting. Already playing right tackle so he wouldn't have to switch over to learn it. The Miller combo at tackle could be great. Similar builds. I don't trust that he would last to the 2nd round pick spot. I wouldn't mind a trade up into the late 1st for a guy like that

Yea, I was all for giving Glaze the opportunity last year. He failed miserably. Time to move on.
