Meh, he said goodbye in a respectful manner. Kudos and thanks for the hard work, nothing personal as it’s a business. New brass didn’t see him in the timeline of what a rebuild is most likely gonna take. Get your assets and build the team through the draft.
Pretty simple, and although I’m glad we got what we did, it was great seeing him in a Raiders uniform. Gonna be weird seeing him in a different jersey. Now we get to watch and hope they stink up next year to improve our draft pick.

FWIW ESPN gives the trade grades of C for Baltimore, and A for the Raiders.

Hopefully the article was bullshit.
If the article referenced is the Silver article, I’d be extremely skeptical. Dude seems to do anything he can to remain relevant while reality drives nails into sports journalism. Not that I’d ever consider him even a decent writer. More shockjock with a keyboard.

Shame he seemed to have such a terrible eye for talent. Whether a Coach, or a QB. Maybe if he could judge better he would have put his foot on the neck of that one QB before the oline waved defenders on through to break his back. Could’a would’a should’a told Mark to dump that cowards sorry ass and get someone with a solid spine.

Steve Young 3, Jalen Hurts 1, Russell Wilson 1. 5 of the last 50.

Then there’s the QBs who’ve been the passing yards leader in a season and how many Super Bowls they’ve won.

Tom Brady 7, Peyton Manning 2, Patrick Mahomes 3, Ben Roethlisberger 2, Drew Brees 1, Brett Favre 1, Kurt Warner 1, Matthew Stafford 1. 18 of the last 50.

I’m guessing if we each walked into a bar and slapped down 50 bucks, I got 18 beers back and you got 5, you’d have a hard time finding that fair.

The amount of Crosby hate is fu king ridiculous. The guy is a top player in this league and a game wrecker and that’s all that matters. I could give two shits about his podcasts or any of the other off field things people hate him for.

I too don't get the Crosby "hate"! It isn't his fault the team sucks and they didn't give him help or truly build a winner around him.
With that said, this move is best for both parties and if Maxx wants, he is in control of his future and singings. If the Raiders do build a team and he wants to come home, maybe he win and can.

Maxx is a dude and plays the game the old fashion way, all heart. Love the man but he wasn't moving the needle as the team is concerned and it is also not his fault. Yet, the team game needs more than one dude playing their nuts off!

Good lord the pearl-clutching. Nobody literally “hates” the dude. He just annoys some folk. I don’t literally “hate” the neighbors boy, but if his soccer ball hits my house enough times, I go outside and stand there until he moves on to greener pastures.

It’s not the same, but there’s a vein. Some folk were early seeing Cur for what he was. Some folk just see through shit early. Maxx isn’t false, he’s just not nearly as cool as he thinks he is. Not a bad thing, but if you see it, then see it over and over, then hear the Bisaccia shit, the Pierce shit, and cap it off with the bball vid. Well, some folk, including myself, had seen and heard enough. Besides, it made logical sense to trade him. His age, his injury history, the return. Was a good deal.

The Mack trade disappointed the hell out of me. The Maxx trade doesn’t. With Mack it was partly because I had no faith in Gruden 2.0, but mostly cause I knew nothing about Mack besides his being a great f[raiders_icon]cking football player. First I ever heard from Mack is when he said Gruden never called him. I also know Maxx to be a great f[raiders_icon]cking football player, and I also know him as a kid that keeps hitting my house with a f[raiders_icon]cking soccer ball.

I’d bet this though. If we just had the Patriots season. Lots of lucky breaks, but we were in the Super Bowl. No one would want to trade Maxx.

I wish him well but I want to the Ravens to go 0-17

I could easily see them picking at about 10. Crazy that current mocks have 7 qb's going in the top 10. Our 2 picks next year can really set us up.

Doubt Baltimore can afford to tag him. I don't care personally, but that would be some funny shit.
This is ....... a theory........ but with no basis. Maxx signed an extension last year and has 4 years left on his contract.

raiders93 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:56 pm Not gonna lie, bummed to see him go. Nothing but respect for the guy. Gave 110% every snap even on a lot of teams that he probably could’ve given up on by November.

I’d also say, I don’t get the animosity some fans have like he just broke up with us. It’s not actually clear what specifically led to this. Everyone assumes Maxx demanded a trade privately but that’s unconfirmed. It’s entirely possible he would’ve come back.

My unconfirmed opinion is that it was probably more fluid than predetermined he was gone. New coach, new-ish management. It’s entirely possible we set a really high price uncertain we’d get it… basically said if we don’t get it he stays… but if we do get it, it’s too good to pass up.

Again, opinion only. Maybe Maxx was going to force Gus way out if we didn’t do this now… but the video kind of seems like he was open to a change of scenery but not insistent on it. By most fan accounts, it’s not as if we gave Baltimore any sort of discount.

I respect his non-stop efforts and contributions, and wish him well, when not against our interests. ...the stuff that seems to have rubbed most wrong more recently about him, (the pod cast, rap stuff, etc.) and which I am also not really a fan of, i frankly would know nothing about, were it not for having seen it here.

....hopefully, but if there is anything to it, I would certainly hope to heck that our new HC has the authority to flush him, if needed.
