In all the Mendoza development talk Jeanty is an afterthought. Ashton Jeanty needs a system to thrive, and that system is Klints to a T. If Ashton thrives, Fernando thrives

I'd like something different, there's a few out there Schwarz also just left the Brown's building.Jeevo wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:59 am If it's Kubiak at least we have an OC already. I'm starting to think that Graham for DC could be a possibility for a new guy who's first choice may already have been hired.

I get all the hand wringing given the Raiders’ history, but if you want Kubiak then as far as any of us know this is working out exactly as it should. If you want Kubiak but are unhappy with no public coaching decisions, then there is a flaw in your reasoning.

This is a real test of Raidernation’s patience. We’ve literally got about 12 days to wait before anything official on Kubiak. There are going to be so many rumors between now and then, and social media is a cesspool of opinions and clueless takes from beat reporters. It’s exactly like when the first pic was on the line — we got that part. Just have a little faith.Hawkeyes wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:15 am I get all the hand wringing given the Raiders’ history, but if you want Kubiak then as far as any of us know this is working out exactly as it should. If you want Kubiak, then silence should be music to your ears.

I'd rather have an owner who's willing to overspend and fire coaches when they need to be fired, than have a super cheap owner who refuses to get rid of coaches until their contracts are up or refuses to upgrade facilities.
Mark's biggest problem has been hiring the wrong people in the first place. We can only hope that Brady/Spytek can offset that going forward lol

If he had given the Raiders any inclination he didn’t want the job here, we would almost assuredly have a new head coach already. Webb or McDaniel would be my guess.RaiderFan1 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:45 am Of course he would've already withdrawn his name if he didn't wanna be a head coach in 2026.He wouldn't want all this distraction while he's preparing for the Super Bowl, he would've done what his brother Klay did and remove himself from all HC opportunities. Hes going to be the coach of the raiders, unless you think he would prefer having Kyler murray as his QB and he goes with cardinals

I would also guess it’s actually the other way, where he has given at least some kind of inclination that he wants the job. Scary part is it’s not ink on paper yet and anything can happen still.
Having said all that, it’s obvious we are now the most attractive head coach vacancy in the league and I would bet he wants his own gig, although he has a pretty good situation where he’s at, plus he’s loved by his city up here. We have plenty of cap space, a handful of players most teams would want and start on their team, lots of draft capital and the big bonus, a national champion, Heisman trophy winning new Qb he can mold into what he wants in his system.

There has been no news The Raiders offered the job to Davis Webb and he turned them down. Also there's been no news of Davis Webb taking another job. It seems unlikely, but could Webb know he is The Raiders second choice to Kubiak and is willing to "wait and see?"
