nah, a good coach at least steals one of those games... especially with such an "elite defensive prowess."DanKD wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:57 pm Again, its the QB. You arent winning playoff games with Pickett, Rudolph or Dennys Senior Menu Aaron Rodgers
seriously, enough with the retreads.

Did he have a hand in bringing those in though? Plus tell me one QB he brought in and developed.DanKD wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:57 pm Again, its the QB. You arent winning playoff games with Pickett, Rudolph or Dennys Senior Menu Aaron Rodgers

Now these are both fair criticisms and I agree. Its why I dont want Tomlin personally in our situation. But I think hed be a great get for a team with an already developed quarterbackvtraider wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:05 pm Did he have a hand in bringing those in though? Tomlin is a great coach. You can not want to hire someone (tomlin is not who I want), but still admit they are a great coach and make an honest assessment of them instead of saying every you personally dont like sucks. I think Tomlin would be a fantastic get for a team who already has a franchise QB developed.riseNraid09 wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:00 pm nah, a good coach at least steals one of those games... especially with such an "elite defensive prowess."

but yeah, let's bring in someone like that to couple with our rookie QB in which the success of the franchise depends on. that doesn't sound like a sure-fire way to destroy it, for sure.

Steelers still own Tomlins rights, he quit. I really wouldn’t want to give up picks for him. I don’t mind him but I think we should go young.

Yup, and that's why I mentioned Tomlin "doing more with less" some years. We'd have to go back to when Big Ben was playing to find a solid QB in Pittsburgh...that was 6-7 years ago...and the Steelers still managed to go 60-40 during that span.DanKD wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:57 pm Again, its the QB. exactly. I don't want no bullshit, tip-toe-ing around this, f[raiders_icon]cking go all-in. hire the hotshot young coach to go with your hotshot young qb and do the damn thing.LayneStaley wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:19 pm Steelers still own Tomlins rights, he quit. Wow, OK, who's the "hot shot young coach"? The one who coached Mendoza is a 64 year old hotshot.

Look up retread Head Coach in the dictionary and you will find a picture of Tomlin. Great coach . . . but not for The Raiders. Maybe Baltimore or New York Giants or ?

Sounds like business as usual from the Eagle faithful.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 2:23 pm Jesus Christ. As some know, im local to Philly. The fans and local media here CAN NOT STAND Patullo. To the point where fans egged his house and there were weekly 'Fire Kevin Patullo' banners everywhere. He absolutely RUINED that offense and I'm sorry, if they hired him, I will be done. And I guarantee most of you won't be far behind me.
