Fire Pete Carroll
I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

I'm not exactly sure that's who I'd go with, simply a reading of the tea leaves as it were.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 3:31 pm The only thing worse than hiring Brady would be retaining Pete. No F'n thanks to that.

Oh for sure. Im not even sure what Brady does over there in Buffalo. Josh Allen is the O coordinator.Willmark wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 3:32 pm I'm not exactly sure that's who I'd go with, simply a reading of the tea leaves as it were.

Gruden was 10-7 in '21. Hardly where we should have been after 4 YEARS under Gruden.KillerRaider30 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 2:00 pm Still so he built a playoff team. And yes those blunders played a role in building a winning program. I won't argue that.
I'm saying give Pete a chance.
He came in not knowing one player.
Can we trust that Pete has identified the player persomnel problems and or weak positions?
I do.

Not sure about that.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 3:35 pm Oh for sure. Im not even sure what Brady does over there in Buffalo. Josh Allen is the O coordinator.
Allen is Captain Chaos, aka the modern day Brett Favre. Some days he's going to play hero ball and some days he's going to make the most brain-dead, boneheaded plays. Not sure that's on Brady.

I feel like he has to bc of Brady's terrible predictable play calling.Willmark wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 3:54 pm Not sure about that.

Maybe. Living in Western NY there is a lot of Bills coverage here (obviously) and I see a lot more of thier games than I want to. Plus I've been following Allen since his Wyoming days.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 3:59 pm I feel like he has to bc of Brady's terrible predictable play calling.
He's never been the most consistent QB and is more of a freelancer in a way. Hence the Favre comparison.
When he is on? He's on. But when he's off its not pretty.

Meh...Get Carroll outta here...There isn't one aspect of the team that didn't decline....And as far as identifying personell problems,he hasn't been able to play the right players all season.....The O-line is the worst I've seen in forever and the decision making on players/positions is an absolute joke.KillerRaider30 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 2:00 pm Still so he built a playoff team. I do.
If it weren't his own son our O-line coach would be sent packing after this season if not already.....He's done, his coaching hires ae crap and he too stubborn to change his ways even when the results show otherwise.
And he hand picked his QB along with many other FA ex Seahawks and how'd that turn out?Likely got Geno his extension that wasn't even necessary.....Bringing Carroll back will be a disaster in numerous ways and I don't think him and our GM are on the same page anyway at this point.

Offense is young. Bowers, Jeanty, Bech, Thornton, and new QB. Pete doesn't have the time to develop this young group. Need a new young HC who calls his own plays to grow with this group.
Not sure it's going to happen though.

If we draft our QB we need the head coach to be the guy to develop him, not the OC, and that ain’t Carroll.Oaktownonly wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 5:20 pm Offense is young. Once again, let Spytek hire the guy& have Brady stay out…
https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-a ... ks-future/
Spytek’s future with the organization is tied to minority owner Tom Brady, who, people tell me, is the one calling the shots in Las Vegas. The future Hall of Fame quarterback took the lead in bringing Spytek from Tampa Bay, and the belief is that Brady and the Raiders will look for a hotshot coordinator to lead the franchise into the future rather than recycle a former head coach.
But beware in both cases, as sources say coaches targeted by the Raiders to lead them into the future, and even free agents, could use Brady as leverage to get better deals elsewhere.
They point to incidents this past offseason where Ben Johnson, now coach of the playoff-bound Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford used negotiations with Las Vegas to get better deals with other teams.
