Fire coaches, fire GMs, get rid of players draft players, etc etc, you name it.

Until we start drafting QBs high as in the first round literally nothing else this franchise does matters.

Nothing.

We have attempted for the better part of two decades to build a team without addressing QB and hoping that miraculously it will all fall into place.

How’s that worked out?

You either have a good qb or need one. We’ve needed one since Gannon.

Pete Carroll was interviewed by JT the Brick yesterday and he was talking about how they're still trying to figure out who should start at DT position etc...

The team should have figured out all of this stuff in training camp and pre-season. Instead they still don't know going into week 6.

The cover 3 defense is the reason they have struggled so much. They aren't letting the defense attack, instead they have them playing soft coverages all game.

They had the db's playing deep in the redzone for crying out loud instead of pressing the receivers leading to easy underneath catches.

Rushing only 4 all game while playing soft coverages isn't going to work anymore, the Raiders don't have the personnel aka the legion of boom back there.

Maxx is out there running around like a chicken without a head playing coverage and it's pathetic to watch.

Pete hasn't mentioned how special teams and Geno are really struggling and how he needs to address the situation and make some changes at all, which shows their isn't any accountability going on right now. Which doesn't give me any hope for the future.

He’s getting anointed a bit early by many. He may well be the one who got away but 5 games don’t define him

After QB, DT is the toughest and most important position to fill. There are not many stud DT's.

Depends has morphed into a stubborn old man. Like senile Al, their prism has become clouded by age and stubbornness.

You know, given all the"player attitude" problems, I'm starting to wonder about the coaching.

Remember how bad MacDaniel was.

Remember how Jackman lost the team in a game which if we won would have put us in the playoffs.

Sometimes the bad attitudes are just coaching failures.

And GOSH, we keep signing former Seahawks as well.

Pete's done. (and I was FOR him at the beginning of the season)

Talk with Carroll after the season and let him retire. Keep Spytek. Go after a guy like Lou Anarumo or the Colts DC.

I wanted Coen or Ben Johnson but they didn't want to come here, but would have been fine signing one of the many coordinators from a successful NFL football team too.

Was willing to see how Carroll with Chip and Geno would play out but I think after 5 weeks, I've seen enough. I wasn't expecting the Raiders to be contenders all of a sudden but to be competitive in games at the very least.

If Pete Carroll wasn't the oldest head coach in NFL history, I would have more patience in what he's building.

While there is a lot funny commentary, I think the biggest thing that is getting lost is the cleanup.

Not quite like Reggie with the salary cap mess but in a way there is several regime's worth of roster messes to contend with from Gruden to now. In a way it make sense as to why it is: Mark Davis' continue turning over the front office and the coaching staff.

100%. This cupboard, while not bare or completely devoid of talent, is VERY thin at best. What is really worrisome is the lack of addressing the lines and the handling of that, especially the O-line. The D-line, we thought we would have Wilkinson, but that head kisser got himself released. That just seemed like the curse again. :weary:

Yep. We have a roster with three previous regimes' players in it. Gruden wanted his guys. McDaniels wanted his. AP wanted his. For Pete, it's a team full of players that don't fit what he wants to do, so he's been forced into the square pegs into round holes situation. He's not choosing to do that, it's the hand he's been given.

It's enough already with the year after year changes and instability. Last year the AFC West put three teams in the playoffs. This year it's likely to be the same, so instead of trying to blind-squirrel this team into a one shot wonder wild card, let's give the current regime a legitimate shot at rebuilding this haphazard Frankenstein mess we're in.

I wouldn't say the cupboard is bare, but they certainly inherited some baggage from past regimes that had to be taken out with the trash. Ultimately you can't ignore the poor personnel decisions. It's really hard to complain about your OL when your 2nd best player has to prove himself over the likes of Jordan Meredith and Alex Cappa. Or playing Zamir White over Mostert. And well, Geno smith is a disaster of their own design. One could argue we may have won a few extra games if not for this staff's decisions, which has nothing to do with how piss poor the previous regimes have been.
