2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

Im curious to see what the new scheme makes of him. He has great hands and seems to know how to break the zone.
I see him as a minni Brock and mini Jordy Nelson without the speed.

Speaking of stupid, here’s Gruden on…
Robert Griffin III, “This guy is going to change the game with his athleticism.”
Johnny Manziel, “He has rare playmaking ability, he’ll energize a franchise.”
Jameis Winston, “He’s a natural leader. He’s going to be a long-term starter in this league.”
Marcus Mariota, “This guy is can’t-miss. He’s a natural leader and competitor.”
Brock Osweiler, “He’s got the size and arm strength teams dream about.”
Brandon Weeden, “He can make every throw in the book.”
Kellen Moore, “He’s a winner, don’t underestimate him.”
Quinn Ewers, “He spins it like few I’ve ever seen, he’s going to light up Sundays.”
Kyle McCord, “He’s got the poise and the pedigree to succeed in the NFL.”
Seth Henigan, “Don’t sleep on this guy, he’s a gamer, and gamers win in the NFL.”
Let’s not forget, he’s just as brilliant at knowing who’s gonna be a star at all the other positions too, Clelin Ferrell, Damon “Crayons” Arnette, Alex Leatherwood, Lynn Bowden Jr., Brandon Parker. “Grinders” one and all.
Last, but not least. Gruden’s response to rumors of Brady shopping for teams to QB after deciding to leave the Patriots…
“We love our quarterback. Our quarterback’s a really good player, Derek Carr. I want to reiterate that to everybody here in Vegas. We’ve got a good, young quarterback, and the film, the statistics and analytics prove it.”
Brady of course went on to win the Super Bowl for the Bucs.

I agree. Once I found out Gruden declined Tom Brady, I never looked at him the same.

Obviously none of us know for sure but, what would be your guess at to why? Do you think smoke screen &, they do want Oline at 36? Or, do you think they’re caustiously optimistic about the Oline?Attyla wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 12:35 pm The one thing that stands out, and I know that list may not be 100% accurate and there are still visits being done but on our day 1 and 2 visits, zero offensive linemen.
You know where I stand on the Oline. That its in a good spot, even tho there’s unknowns. I like Rogers & Grant. Sounds like maybe they do too so, I’m thinking they go in other directions with the 2nd & 3rd. Again, unless that’s a smokescreen

I don't buy the smoke and mirrors argument. Teams don't set up draft boards to thwart other teams. They set up boards to get their guys. Block moves are just not part of it to me. Do I think they are satisfied with the line? I am not sure how you could say yes given that Rogers and Glaze are really unknowns. I mean, we got some tape and more of their college days but I would think at this moment in time getting our QB to stay on their feet and getting Jeanty going would be a huge priority. Me personally, I guess my thought is they don't like the guys they think will be there with the day 2 picks. I know this draft will have depth into day 3 but I also don't think any of them would be ready to go from the get go. So, I am wondering if we are going to use some Jumbo formations at the beginning of the year until they know? Just a wild thought on my part.MexicanHulk wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:12 am Obviously none of us know for sure but, what would be your guess at to why? Maybe lineman tend to be hard workers an the type of players they'd want in general so less need to snuff the faker football lovers out? Or maybe they don't see it as a big of a need this year for more young lineman

Not sure I like that argument. Part of the draft process is not just the football part but the person himself. I would be more comfortable with that explanation if it was a senior in college and we were at the senior bowl with him being there. That would have allowed for more interaction.DanKD wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:25 am Maybe lineman tend to be hard workers an the type of players they'd want in general so less need to snuff the faker football lovers out? I do get you point, I just tend not to see that as the answer. Our depth chart on Oline has holes in it even now.

I meant 2nd & 3rd (day 2) in my post. Not 3/4 but, I think you knew that.Attyla wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:22 am I don't buy the smoke and mirrors argument. Yeah, I don’t think they’d do smoke & mirrors to that extent. I do think they’d do it a little. Pure guess on my part tho. I would say, maybe they do like a couple oline guys on day 2 but, feel their background investigators already did enough &, they know the player. No need for a visit…so, maybe this kind of smokescreen…possibly? Anyway, just throwing things out there.
To the bolded part above, as you alluded to with the college tape, they aren’t as unknowns as you perceive them. That’s why they were drafted. Cause they’re not complete unknowns. That’s a lot of info there. Detailed info. Then, you throw in that, they’ve been in building for a full year. With the team, day in, day out. Training, practicing, seeing their character &, seen them in game at the NFL level (what little they did play). That’s even more critical detailed info on said players. So they’re not nearly as unknown as some here have been thinking. & thats why there’s some confidence in them to meet & possibly exceed expectations.

I think the unknown really boils down to ZBS which is what we are supposedly moving toward as a base system. I do also think the lack of much tape at the next level does not give me the confidence that we are not in the draft for at least one solid depth player.
But like I said, the most probably reason for a lack of a position top 30 visit is because they do not like the guys they think will be there when we pick. I am obviously just guessing.

You may be right, I dont know. Perhaps it really is as simple as they feel they have a lot of young lineman they want to evaluate and keep on the roster. Perhaps they look to add a post draft veteran to round out the group and then invest more next year if the young guys dont develop. We have spent four day two picks in the last two draft on offensive lineman.Attyla wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:35 am Not sure I like that argument. I would say, Caleb Rogers was 100% seen as a ZBS OG prospect. Grant has very good movement skills himself. Really, his physical build & traits are elite level.Attyla wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:05 pm I think the unknown really boils down to ZBS which is what we are supposedly moving toward as a base system. Also, while you don’t have the confidence in them, due to the lack of tape, they may have the confidence in them. Due to the tape they have, combined with all the other first hand experiences they’ve been a part with them for the past year. Practices, weight room, etc. & it’s not that they don’t like day oline men, it’s actually cause they like what they have. & that’s with absolute shit as coaching last year. That they still looked good (in very limited reps) &, developed like they did last season. Even more reason to have some optimism/confidence.
I’m with you tho, on wanting solid depth. There’s definitely some day 3 guys that you’d like to bet on &, develop them while watching from the bench (hopefully). Especially wanting a backup C. Maybe another toolsy & strong OT.

Rogers and Grant are both Spytek's picks from last year. Unless Carroll told him to get those two specific guys, then Spy has already done a lot of research on them and believes they're more than viable lineman.

I’m gonna guess they were Spytek picks. Cause I liked them too, especially Grant lol. Just like Jeanty was Carroll’s pick. At least the rumors have said that. That Spytek wanted other players or trade down, which I would have done.RickRyb wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:22 pm Rogers and Grant are both Spytek's picks from last year.
