Fire Patrick Graham

Unread post by RenoRaiders75 »

We have a fire Chip Kelly thread, why not fire PG? Our D sucks. We couldn't even stop them in the second half. Players are getting burnt. He hasn't really devolped anyone, we have zero pressure except for Maxx and he is being trippled teamed. Anyone else ready to move on?

The early- mid 80’s?

NoClapsPlease wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 5:00 am This is Pete carols scheme. If you know ball, you’ll know PG was never heavy on cover 3. He was multiple with a heavy emphasis on man coverage and simulated pressure

We are never in man coverage, that’s your first indicator, if you know ball.

You are consistently loud and wrong.
Agree.while Graham may not be great and has never had the "horses" he is even more handcuffed this season running Carrolls scheme....He'll likely be gone so Pete can get one of his guys in or even more likely Graham leaves on his own.I wouldn't blame him.

They just signed Carlos "Boogie" Basham to the practice squad. This guy was an excellent pass rusher in college but has never started a game in the Pros. What's up with him?

Fire the guy who's carried this loser team the last 3 years. Brilliant. Real men of genius no doubt.

Wasn't gramps the guru who got "his" guys ?????? The D genius.

PG will no doubt be leaving this team after this year like all smart fans/players/coaches do.

He’s the best coach on the team. A 2-8 team. I just get the feeling that a total house cleaning may be coming after the season and the reality is that Graham will be better off coaching another team’s defense. I have zero doubts he will look like a much better defensive coordinator on another team as the Raiders stink makes all players and coaches worse than they really are.

Yeah. We don't need another interim coach who catches other teams by surprise for a few games that then leads to him being hired and subsequently fired by this time next year.

Anyway, it's impossible to evaluate how well or poorly Graham's doing when our offense is so awful. If we scored 20 points per game and had half the turnovers, this defense would be perceived a lot differently because we'd likely be above .500.

I'd like to see him stay on as DC, but if he walks it would be difficult to blame him.

Draft a QB with our first pick no matter what and bring in Nate Scheelhaase from the Rams. Guy is their passing game coordinator and comes from the best staff in football..hate the Rams but McVay is the shit.

I like Shula too,but he is their DC and I want an offensive guy unless Shula would bring Schedlhasse as his OC

I wouldn't fire Graham. I'd give him another year and let him alone to run his defense as he sees fit. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't. He hasn't had a healthy squad in how long? He's the only coach I would keep. That said, I expect him to want out as soon as he can get out.

Graham has been hamstringed by some lousy picks over the years, think Gruden's drafts, and think McDaniel's picks. And I am not even going down that f[raiders_icon]cking rabbit hole Pierce lead us through. They have f[raiders_icon]cked up the line repeatedly, his LB corps have never been addressed and his secondary has mostly been patchwork. Graham may have some say but it is obvious every coach he has been with in Vegas has had a lot more say and as a result we have had a crap talent pool.

Graham's system works, period. But it only works of they give him players. And that is some truth right there. Dear God, Gruden alone set up the defense for failure for years after.
