Broncos fans are already losing it because they are interviewing imagine how crazy there fans would go if we hired all three & decimated there back room staff

Joesph at HC, Webb as OC & Leonhard as DC wouldn’t be a bad shout
Sounds like another McDaniel and Ziegler thing, pass.

This makes no sense. When drunk, Taco Bell is “IT”, but that doesn’t apply to a conversation about coaches either.
Payton is not getting rid of Lombardi just to keep Webb.
Wouldn’t have to, but it’s a lot easier to keep Webb on board with the possibility he’d be his replacement if Lombardi gets a HC gig in the future. For obvious reasons, Payton isn’t promising Webb the HC gig.
How.many good veteran DCs are going to be willing to tie themselves to a 30 year old head coach for the Raiders
Who knows? How many aren’t?
How do you know Webbs style fits perfectly with Mendoza. We have no clue what that is.
We don’t, but that applies to anyone. What we can do is read and surmise what may or may not work. One of the things I liked immediately about Webb was his belief that a player shouldn’t fit HIS concept, but a coach should coach to fit his player/s.

As to “concepts” for Webb, ”Webb learned under different offensive systems as a player — from spread/air-raid concepts in college to pro-style/West Coast elements — and now works under Sean Payton’s offensive structure. His coaching reflects this flexibility and willingness to blend concepts, rather than forcing a rigid, one-dimensional scheme.”

For Indiana, Mike Shanahan does the play-calling for the Offense. ”Shanahan does not run a pure Air Raid or a pure West Coast offense. Instead, his passing game sits at the intersection of a Pro-style structure with West Coast concepts, modern spread spacing, and play-action sequencing.”

When Mendoza was at Cal. ”The offense was called by Jake Spavital in 2023 and Mike Bloesch in 2024, and it featured an up-tempo spread attack with balanced run/pass concepts and vertical passing elements, designed to create spacing and explosive plays.”

Simplified. Fernando’s played a whole mess of shit. Webb knows a whole mess of shit.

You may have your own favorites to get the coaching positions, and I like Webb for it. But most importantly, I want Spytek picking the Head Coach, and the Head Coach picking his Coordinators. And at least for the Offense, preferably young, not stubborn, capable of malleability, capable of designing the best philosophy for his playcalling around the talent he has available.

Why would Shula make a lateral move from the Rams to us?

Yeah I’ve never understood thinking you shouldn’t hire someone because if they do good they leave.

I love this attitude.

I don’t see Webb leaping from PGC to HC. I love the idea of Shula at HC and Webb as OC.

Wait why would Shula come with anyone to be a DC? He's already got that title in L.A.

For me it’s Webb. I like his philosophy of not pigeon holing players into a scheme. Because of the current roster, we need a coach that can assess the talent and scheme around what they have. I have confidence in Spytek finding talent. He just needs a coach that will find a way to put that talent on the field. Webb sounds like that guy.

As a younger former player he can relate with these new guys coming in.

If they don’t get Webb I would like to see what Kubiak can do with a new QB(Hopefully Mendoza), Jeanty, Bowers and Mayer.

Please no to any Patriot West 2.0 coaches.

Anybody have a good perspective on Jesse Minter and the sign stealing that went on at Michigan?

Was he involved at all?

Big deal? Little deal? No deal?
