2027 Loaded QB draft
Arch Manning
Brenden Sorsby?
Dante Moore?
CJ Carr?
LaNorris Selles?
John Mateer?
Nico Iamaleava?
Sam Leavitt?
Jordan Maiava?
Julian Sayin I think will stay another year at Ohio State.
There isn't a damn one them that will be better than Fernando except maybe Arch. There maybe more first round QB which is great for us so we can trade our pick and get bounty for it. I expect we will be top 12. However the morons who thought that we should traded our pick because of the loaded 2027 QB full of better talent are high as kites.

Agreed, Smith lands right in our laps.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 7:40 am As long as these QBs live up to the hype, we are set up so nicely to land an elite player, hopefully Smith.

We better have hit on Mendoza (I think we did) because we will not know for a couple years. Next year's crop of QBs looks very solid on paper.

Yup...How quickly assessments and opinions seem to change, and memories fade.Raider_Dave wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 6:59 pm Some of those guys were on the list last year for this years loaded QB class. Manning and Sellers were sure fire first round picks. Allar and Nussmeier were thought to be first round picks. Klubnik and Leavitt were also talked about as first round pics a year ago. Most of that list will fail again.

I think Sellers would have been a first rounder this year. He was better than Simpson. Not a ton better but better with a better frame and more upside. Klubnik still has potential, not sure if they are going to get it out of him. But Sellers stayed to improve his game and move up from a mid to mid late first rounder into the top 10 and he could pull that off.Raider_Dave wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 6:59 pm Some of those guys were on the list last year for this years loaded QB class. Sayin, Moore and Manning are all interesting. Sayin will be hurt by his height a bit. CJ Carr will be interesting to see if he takes that next step. Mateer stayed another year and he absolutely needs to hit it out of the park after last year's fall from grace.
2027 projects very deep with as many as 12 guys going in the first two days.

It is a mixed bag. It is not so much the number who have to come out but who has to come out that will be a likely top talent. Chambilss is one who has no time left but is not what I consider a guy worthy of the first round.SkullCrusher wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 12:42 pm How many have to come out?
NIL changes this quite a bit imo.

I'm not sure he would have been a first Rd pick this year. Not after the year my gamecocks had. But as i said before. He needs to work on his passing mechanics and i think bringing in Briles as the oc this year is a good thing for him because he will work on those deficiencies that his game currently has. And this coming from me who is a die hard gamecockAttyla wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 12:22 pm I think Sellers would have been a first rounder this year. He was better than Simpson. Sellers is wayyy too inconsistent, especially with his accuracy. That shit usually carries over into the NFL. I personally wouldn't touch him, but some unlucky team will.
