27 years of HC experience and has won the big one in both college and NFL. Show the man some respect, I understand he's old but he's the healthiest HC in the AFC west.

He'll be able to attract good coordinators and other personnel, which is a big win. And if one of those guys turns into Getsy 2.0, he'll be able to take a more active role in helping either out. Yes, he's primarily a defense guy, but with his level of experience, we won't be stuck with gross incompetence until someone better comes along.
He's the type of guy that can make sure we win the games we should win and even steal a couple in his first year.
Optimistic? Absolutely. I mean, hell, why not? It's not like we have a say in the matter, so I'll look forward to what Pete can do.

Big upgrade over AP, IMO. Best of luck to Pete, please right the ship. Cautiously excited considering the other routes they could have gone.

This is probably the best hire the Raiders could make this offseason given where they're at as an organization. Nobody has to wonder if PC knows how to be a hc and perform his job on game day. Being a HC is a far different job then being a coordinator, the skill sets are not the same that's why so many hotshot coordinators fail when given the chance.

At least he understands, or I would hope it does. that this is to transition them to become a success. I hope he is given the full 3 years.

Raiders now on par with the other West HC.
Going to have to re-up my Youtube NFL for another season.

Can he get anything out of Tyree?
Or is Tyree a turnip from which no blood cometh?

Him and spytek should be able to put together a functioning organization. Sucks to have to succession plan from day 1, but it is what it is.

Our last coach was never a coordinator and needed mentors to guide him, this new coach has 200 years of experience but might not live til the end of his contract.
Why can’t we just do normal shit like the other teams?
