It's a legit possibility that we will take a WR in the 2nd, esp if Cooper is there. I'm not saying i necessarily agree but if Cooper is there they will take him.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 10:29 am WR seems like a wasted pick. With the more pressing needs, you couldnt entertain drafting one until the 4th round. What's the point? He wont be beating out the three top WRs we already have. And Mendo is going to be throwing to the TEs and Jeanty anyway.
Id wait till next years draft to get a #1 WR.

I don't know how in the world that would/could possibly work.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 10:38 am How about you have to do your physical and due diligence before you are allowed to talk turkey? Wouldnt that solve this issue?

On a post about Maxx Crosby I used a term Maxx uses in a context that describes his current life situation. I then hoped for his knee to heal up. It would be awesome for Maxx to have a functional knee when he's done playing. Someone decided to create nonsense with the post rather than keep scrolling like a grown man. Ask yourself what was necessary and what wasn't. My post was and is about Maxx. One line in the post does not negate that. f[raiders_icon]cking 2026 and people's feels man. This is life now lol

You can't it falls under the tampering rules. Teams can talk to each other about a trade and even agree to it via verbal agreements but players and agents cannot talk to other teams until the new year. They cannot even do anything during the tampering period.raidersince63 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 10:57 am I don't know how in the world that would/could possibly work.
Again, I just don't know how you get past the "physical" part of a trade prior to the new year and that is the one thing that cancelled out a trade no questions asked. Well, questions this time, but under most circumstances.

Not to mention that how in the world could you keep a pre-negotiation physical under wraps without the rest of the teams finding out about it? IMO, the current system is OK and the unfortunate Maxx thingy was simply an outlier.Attyla wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 11:09 am You can't it falls under the tampering rules. So in other words, if someone feels that a post was disrespectful, it deserves another? ...C'mon man.Goodtimes333 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 11:08 am On a post about Maxx Crosby I used a term Maxx uses in a context that describes his current life situation. That and I’d also say the way the team treats people.Jeevo wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 8:09 am I think Maxx probably looked at the way Spy has handled the off-season so far, esp free agency, and he's decided that it's maybe not the same old shit show that he's used to. There was never a problem with his feelings about ownership, or living in Vegas, and he can see a different otcome for himself in the silver and black. Happy that we get an elite edge guy to add to our new look.
Yes, he’s been stuck on a losing team… but said losing team also seems to treat him like royalty. Gives him raises when he asks, adds guarantees when he doesn’t have any left, hires the coach he pounded the table for, trades him when he asks, welcomes him back with open arms when it falls apart…
Contrast that with his brief experience with another organization that flew him across the country to basically fire him 2 minutes before he was supposed to start…
Add in the fact that, suddenly this looks like a team with a plan… and yeah if I were Maxx I’d be back in too after what he just experienced

Correct a huge outlier. You don't change rules because of an outlier, you review the rule and see if you can tweak it but if you cannot you continue onraidersince63 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 11:14 am Not to mention that how in the world could you keep a pre-negotiation physical under wraps without the rest of the teams finding out about it? You can't have physicals prior to negotiating with FAs. It's not realistic in the frenzied FA period and during the legal tampering period it isn't even permitted by league rules unless the player's current team officially grants permission (and why would they?). The Ravens certainly could have had Maxx' physical a lot sooner than they did..... once the trade terms were hammered out he could have gone for a physical on Saturday. It seems like they were happy to wait until they had a chance to see what Hendrickson would get in FA.

Someone needs to put this in Maxx’s locker on game days.

I wasn't the one to delete your post, but the rules about vulgarity are pretty clear. It certainly didn't hurt my feelings, but if it's reported and it breaks the rules it's way easier to nuke the whole thing than try to correct a single line. This is one of the least moderated places on the internet to talk about Raiders football, if you're complaining then you need to look in the mirror.Goodtimes333 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 11:08 am On a post about Maxx Crosby I used a term Maxx uses in a context that describes his current life situation. the nfl need to incorporate a break up fee on deals done prior to league yr, corporation always have breakup fees attached to deal making regardless of reasons especially because the company get to look at the books of the company and all aspects of the business prior to an agreement, in this case the ravens got access to all medicals on max and then blamed it on a failed physical which is bs that ends up hurting the raiders cause max lost value due tot hem getting cold feet

Not going to happen, if a player fails as physical, that is not the fault of a team that agreed to a deal. you cannot penalize a team for reversing course over something they had no knowledge of, especially medical in this business.mstrbass2000 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 12:07 pm the nfl need to incorporate a break up fee on deals done prior to league yr, corporation always have breakup fees attached to deal making regardless of reasons especially because the company get to look at the books of the company and all aspects of the business prior to an agreement, in this case the ravens got access to all medicals on max and then blamed it on a failed physical which is bs that ends up hurting the raiders cause max lost value due tot hem getting cold feet
