Post Game thread - no moral victories, But…
Don’t believe in moral victories but the Raiders fought till the end.
In years past this team would have folded. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t mistake free but we just proved we can go toe to toe with the Chiefs this year.

i think the fact that andy reid/mahomes r in advanced talks says it all for me ...i hope th raiders dont just sit back and watch mahomes/hill combo resurrect all over againSkullCrusher wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 8:40 am I think he would have to prove himself again.
In combination with proving Cousins to Tyreek is a threat.

That's great. Sometimes a hc can get caught up in the moment or be talked into something. Its his job to reign everything in & make a rational decision. Maybe I'm totally wrong & he decided alone but the this team isn't good enough to gamble and take pts off the board yet. Or if it was a lesser team I could agree with the call too. Like I said, I get what he was trying to do, this team just isn't there yetALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 8:10 am The players loved him for it and they’re bought in and that’s the most important detail here. With the players 100% bought in and believing they have a chance to win every game.

I agree, the Raiders hadn’t established the kind of line dominance needed to have confidence in that call. 4th and 1 sure but not 4th and a long 2. I wouldn’t call it stupid though, more ill advised.Hellbound wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 6:59 am I get the call and wouldn't have minded it in that situation IF and it's a big IF, the offense was the caliber of Seattle last year or KC this year or we had established a strong run game etc. This team still has a ways to go and it was a 50/50 shot at best that we were going to pick up the first down. Hell, we were already settling for field goals throughout the game to that point
This team isn't good enough to take points off of the board. I get wanting to show confidence in your team but sometimes you have to take a step back and make the right decision. It was stupid then, and remains a stupid decision now

Nothing. If the Chiefs want him back he goes there. Raiders are not on his list and he should not be on ours. At his age coming off a serious injury it just doesn't fit what we are doing. And he isnt coming to a rebuilding team. Buffalo would be a better fit.

And he very well may get suspended again and,as a repeat offender, it may be lengthy.

Also the Raiders aren’t at the point in their development to need to worry about what other teams are doing to improve. They need to keep long term objectives in sight

When you think of Tyreek, are you imagining 2018-23?mstrbass2000 wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 8:29 am having tyreek on the field is a threat all by itself...kirk while not mobile can still hit a 55 yd pass and threaten a defense enough to keep it honest...our problem currently is our wr suck we have a bunch of wr3/4 on the team and 2 good tight ends this allows defense to compress coverage and stack boxes to kill our running attack, tyreek opens it up just by being on the field and if kirk hits tyreek just once every defense will have to take that threat seriously
Pretty sure I watched his knee explode and don’t think he will come close to being old Hill.

wouldn't matter if hill was his old self at WR, he's a head case of the worst kind and this isn't the culture Kubiak and Spy are building. hill doesn't fit in, don't want him

Well Said, here, here..ELCAraiderfan wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 7:06 pm I've thought about the game more now that its Monday and time removed from it.
I am I have to say more pissed off now than I was right after the game yesterday, mostly because that was a game we could have and should have won. That's what stings. If not for a few big mistakes the Raiders have a very good chance of winning the game. We should have.
Also I wished Kubiak did not say we will win the game at halftime. I don't think he meant to say that, I think he meant to expand on the question he was asked prior about the run game not working when he said we need to improve our running game and give ourselves a better chance of winning the game. I believe that is what he was thinking. as he has shown he's too smart to give away any information or something like that that fuels the opposing team.
The play that pisses me off still the most is that fumble on the kickoff, because it was stupid of the player and should not have happened. He had 3 to 4 guys tackling him at that time and was going no where and BALL SECURITY should be and is the most important part of football. If he goes down when those 3 players tackled him on that play, it gives the Raiders, especially the way they finished the game, a HUGE chance at winning. Also those 2 long pass plays the chefs completed hurt too and were unforgivable mistakes. As was letting them run for a first down on that fake punt, but I am sure that will never happen again. It better not.
Another thing is enough of the 20/20 hindsight, Monday morning quarterbacking, regarding taking the 3 points off the scoreboard in the third. Was it the right thing to do at that time, In my opinion it wasn't. I said yesterday that I would have kept the points in the third and would have probably gone for it in the 4th instead of kicking the FG like they did.
But even if Kubiak had decided to keep the points in the third it was too early in the game and everything that happened after if he kept the points would have been completely different than what happened after taking the points off. NO ONE can know what would have taken place if we had kept the points. which is why 20/20 hindsight commenting is stupid, because it doesn't make the person look smarter like they think it does.
The most important thing is this team is way ahead of where all of us thought it would be this year. We are all surprised about how well this coaching change has made the Raiders a professional looking, competitive football team that plays a full 4 quarters and hasn't given up and keeps fighting.
Does that take away the sting of losing a game we could have and should have won, no. But now its just that the team keeps fighting and working to win games which they are going to fight and give all they have every game.
Whether or not the Raiders actually win games, I don't know, it's still questionable as we all, or most of us see.
that Raiders still need a good number of players to improve the team in areas that have been mentioned already. Offensive line needs at least 3 more probably 4 players to improve that line.
New guards for one since we now know for sure that JPJ is undependable and will probably be replaced next year. Plus how much longer does Miller have? And Glaze was dominated badly yesterday. So Oline except for Linderbaum and Miller for hopefully a few more years is still a complete work in progress.
Then there is the WR group. Definitely needs a #1 and could use 2 of them. The field has got to be stretched to take the pressure off the running game and to score some easy long bomb touchdowns like used to be Raiders tradition. Then there needs a couple of hopefully, 1 for absolutely sure needed big time play maker at DT. a pair would be better.
So as we were all thinking before the start of this year there is a lot of work still needed on this team.
But Damn this team is finally worth watching on game days. I just hope the Raiders can pull out a few wins in the next games we play as the opponent schedule is very tough. 6 of the 7 next games are against strong teams.
It's going to be a huge test on the field and in here. Especially with so many of the losers that come into the forum whenever anything goes not in the Raiders favor. I do feel sorry for those people as their lives must be truly pathetic if that is all that they have to try and make themselves feel good. It really is very pathetic of you all, you know who you are. That's why my mute button here will be turning off those idiots. Not worth mine or anyone's time to read their stupid shit.
Thank you to everyone that has finally turned around the Silver & Black into a good, hard working, no give up real professional NFL football team.
Now keep it going forward

I doubt he doesn't go back to the Chiefs. Just not buying the narrative that we are letting them get him back. There seems to be mutual interest and if it doesn't work out Im sure a contender with injuries will make a move.WNYRAIDER wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 12:17 pm ...I am reasonably sure that the bills wouldn't want him either.....

Actual having a plug & play safety could be a 20 point difference because it makes the whole defence betterThe Real CK wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 12:21 pm A safety isn't a 20-point difference.
Well, Spytek has proven that wrong. Since we have no WRs worth anything.
The offence & special teams are the reason we lost
Such a shit argument about having no WR’s when we never had much of anything especially defensively
We’ve literally in the last 3 years in the first 2 rounds taken 1 TE, 1 WR, 1 RB, 1 OG & a QB infact if we add in 4 years worth of 1st & 2nd’s it’ll be 6 on offemce 2 on defence & one pf the defensive is gone
But people continue to bitch about taking a guy who has shown so far to look like a starting NFL safety which are few & far between over a WR
This fan base feels really retarded i mean by all means complain if someone isnt doing it but f[raiders_icon]ck me the guys playing well.

I'd like to see what Zuhn can do at one of the guard positions. What was out there last sunday was not qualitypowski wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 3:31 am I like the team so far, but neither of the Guards are cutting it. Burford looks like a miss in a good FA period overall. JPJ might be barely "good enough" if healthy but its literally impossible. He was born to be injured. That's his role, unfortunately.
I mean Zuhn, sure why not, but I trust our line coaches to play the best but it just might be a non fixable issue this year.
Also: Jeanty played better in the 4th quarter: 57 total yards then. It's like the more they broke his ankles the stronger he got.
