It's been all bad since then except the 2 years Gruden had with the winning record. What they should have done is surround Art with talented assistants. The players loved and respected Art. We were 9-7 and he fired him. Such a shame as if Al had stepped back with this ego and being in his mid 60's back then, and brought in young capable assistants to surround Art with I think we continue to win and quite possibly more super bowls.

I remember Art well.I flew to Oakland to see the Browns game, got a chance to meet and chat with the man, I remember him telling me he had no idea it would be as bad as it was. He talked about how the times and the fans had changed, The Raiders lost the game , but I had A great time. Got to meet a lot of Raiders, collected a few autographs and went to Rickey's.
