On to the Pats
It was a tough call last weekend but not we go to the defending AFC champs if we beat them with a half dead coach we can do it now.

Yep. Third string QBs would have career games against us and the most obscure WRs would shred through our defense like a 7 on 7 drill with everyone wearing red shirts.Oaktownonly wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 11:40 am In the past beat up teams would beat us. This is a game we should win if we're truly a new team with Kubiak.
Regardless, it's going to be a tough game. Their D is good and it's a long flight to the east coast. However, this isn't a game we can feel okay with losing. We blew the chance to steal one from KC last week so IMO, this is a must-win game. Following this one we have the Bills, Rams, 9'ers, and Seahawks, with only the Jets throwing in for a game we should win.
If things play out like it currently looks, beating NE would go a long way to getting us to 5-4 at the nine game mark.

Interesting little snippet…
“At the request of head coach Klint Kubiak, the Raiders selected Washington in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
“I’ll give coach (Klint) Kubiak a lot of credit for this one,” general manager John Spytek told the media in the preseason. “He stood on a table for that kid at the start of day three. This is the perfect scheme fit. We can make this player into a good player. He has what we’re looking for.”
Looking more and more like Washington gets the nod.

Washington's first carry against the Saints, if he cuts to the left it's a touchdown. He definitely lacks vision between the tackles.
No matter, if it's true that Kubiak is also bias against Jeanty, then I see Jeanty continuing the next chapter of his career on another team. If Mike Washington ends up being the guy, I can see Kubiak asking for another RB in the following draft to be RB1b.

By all accounts it appears that Coach K likes a two-back rotation. By no accounts have I read that Coach dislikes Jeanty.mranquales wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 8:01 pm Washington's first carry against the Saints, if he cuts to the left it's a touchdown. He definitely lacks vision between the tackles.

Drafting Washington was to strengthen the RB room, not a conspiracy to supplant Jeanty.

This. We caught a break with Gonzales out. He shuts down EVERY player he goes against.HesterLayes wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 3:47 pm The biggest one is Gonzales…he’s good enough where he could really contain Bowers

4 games in and you are making shit up again. Players on scholarship and a bias against Jeanty? You have no evidence of either.mranquales wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 8:01 pm Washington's first carry against the Saints, if he cuts to the left it's a touchdown. Thornton is “in the doghouse?” Where did you find that out? First I have heard about that.mranquales wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 11:51 am Doesn't make any sense giving Benson and Young continued chances when they've been bad all year, yet Thorton is in the doghouse.
It's obvious that certain players are on scholarship.
Later you posted that Kubiak is “biased” against Jeanty. Where is that from?

I haven't heard anything like that either. I think Thornton is just not perfoming up to Kubiak's standards..... which doesn't surprise me.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 4:46 am Thornton is “in the doghouse?” Where did you find that out? First I have heard about that.

“Wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. returned to practice Wednesday, marking his first time on the field since training camp. Thornton was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 31 due to a hamstring injury sustained during camp.”
https://www.raiders.com/news/wide-recei ... week-5?utm
Being placed on IR of course comes with the player missing a minimum of 4 games. Thornton began his 21 day practice window on Oct 7th. He will not play Week 5.
No grassy knoll. No area 51. No faked moon landing.

I'd agree, this clown reads something or watches something and makes his own narrative.Attyla wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 4:35 am 4 games in and you are making shit up again. Players on scholarship and a bias against Jeanty? You have no evidence of either.
While we all have players we like and dislike, you can tell this dude has never played the game at a high level or has a real clue about probably, anything!
