More wins than last year, Jets post game thread
With the win in New York today. The 2026 Raiders have already passed the win total from last year. We all wanted improvement and now it’s official in the record books,

i would have been pissed as hell if gay missed that kick...jets would have been in fg position to win with about 18 yds ...glad kubiak made the right callReno Hightower wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 3:25 pm I was yelling "punt the ball" at no one in particular while I was watching the game. Ballsy move by Kubiak.

agree...jeanty is best a a 3rd down receiving backRabidraider wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 1:56 pm Washington ran for 83 yards. Jeanty hasn't broken 56 since the first game.
Washington needs to be RB1 and Jeanty the 3rd down receiving back/Slot receiver.

...that was certainly my thought at the time, if he makes it, we should hold on, if he misses, we are if.......Reno Hightower wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 3:11 pm If he doesn't make that FG it's likely we do not win the game.

And I was thinking the exact opposite. Go for it or kick the fgmstrbass2000 wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 3:23 pm i thought we should have punted it to take some more time off the clock and pin em deep but kubiaks has balls and went for the fg and won...love that he is out head coach and fixing our offense so well

I wasn't big on Jeanty while some people were going nuts over him. However, I was good with the pick.
Still crazy to me with how much we score people are worried about the offense. We need guards. We need a #1 WR. We need a mobile QB without a noodle arm.
All I can think about is the defense. We have good LBs finally. We have a couple of solid safeties. We should ne better.
I want the DT from Tennesse with out #1 pick over anything on the offensive side.

He had 64 yards in the air on three receptions..thats a 21 yard average. The irony of this whole situation is Jeanty is the guy who may end up taking the top off the defense as receiver, giving Washington a lighter box to run through.

Definitely need players for sure, but even if we had a loaded team who would do better? Leonard or some top DC in the league. It seems every week he has no answers for the other teams?Xramfan wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 3:24 pm I’ll go both. I have the feeling Leonard is a bit over his head. Obviously most of the dline needs replacing but it looks like things are getting g worse instead of better which I attribute to coaching.

Just for fun, we can galaxy-brain it and say Jeanty said that shit cause he knew Washington was getting the nod. Kidding.Rabidraider wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 2:16 pm He got 83, a number Jeanty hasn't sniffed since Miami. 7 games ago.
We will see if the coach keeps Washington as RB1 or if it was just a penalty because Jeanty was a stupid fucck for calling out the Jet defense.
Man I hope McCoy can get up to speed and replace Stokes soon.

Now I've let it digest a bit.
1. Zuhn out there looked much better than JPJ at RG, For that matter the played better(ish). Note, I didn't say they played great.
2. Defense. The first half was house of horrors. 2nd they did just enough, but it certainly wasn't pretty.
3. Kirk continues to put this team on his back and all he does is generate offense. 16 TDs is tied for first, and 4th in yards.
4. Gutsy call by Clint to go for the FG.
5. Game ball to Laube. First KR of the season and we sorely needed that at that point in the game to help blunt the onslaught of the Jets.
6. I'd say Bowers but we all know how good he is at this stage of the game.
In all a ugly win, but one we desperately needed. The next two games especially aren't going to be easy. I'm hoping for the same thing: improvement each game, stay close in each one and have a shot. No NE style blowouts.

Always happy to win.
I am still not thrilled with either of our lines or Rob Leonard.
More carries for Washington.
Less carries for the Bulletin Board Material Big Mouth.

Im going to disagree with some here. I think the line in terms of pass blocking played great. Run blocking while slightly better still sucked

We don't need to replace the entire d line. We just need a run stuffing nose tackle.

I have said over and over since last season"why is Laube on the roster?" He has been a monster on ST all season and is just getting better. I am due a big plate of crow. He had huge plays all day capped off by the TD run. Not a fluke he came in leading in kickoff returns. He has made some big tackles as well. I would like to see him get some passes thrown to him He has moves if he gets a little space.
