More wins than last year, Jets post game thread

Post by RaiderandBulldog »

With the win in New York today. The 2026 Raiders have already passed the win total from last year. We all wanted improvement and now it’s official in the record books,

I really do not know what's going on with Jeanty other than it's doubtful he will meet the expectations of his drat status and that is not to say he will not be a good player for us.

Bottom line is he was drafted to be a feature back, not sure that's in the cards for him.
We can agree to disagree respectfully.

If it ever were a talent issue between Mike and Jeanty then this game against the Jets was the game to show it. To not even get 100 yards is telling.

We will see if the coach keeps Washington as RB1 or if it was just a penalty because Jeanty was a stuipd fucck for calling out the Jet defense.
 Jeanty also never had 25 carries

On the season.
Washington 4.9ypc 36 long
Jeanty 3.1 ypc 19 long

One is clearly running the ball better than the other.

Jeanty got 48 yards on 21 carries vs the Chargers. Is that not telling as well?

Because he doesn't produce in the first 10-15 carries.

Your right, but he had 26 carries and did not break 100 yards

Sure. Mike Washington had a lower average in that same game.

It's OK to have the opinion that Washington is better or to just not like Jeanty.

However when you add objectively to the equation, it tells a different story. There's more evidence that Jeanty is the better back of the two than vice versa.

Washington has 3 carries in the Charger game. So I would hope Jeanty had more yards carrying over 20 times.

All I can say if the coach keeps Washington as RB1 then that speaks volumes of who is doing better.

I think both our backs would do much better with an improved O line.

Really glad we got the win, would’ve been brutal losing to Geno and Glenn.

Washington got what was there. He got stuffed several times, but when there was any kind of opening, he hit it. If he can learn how to pass black, he's easily our #1.

Jeanty can be good in the pass game, but sooner than later it's going to get predictable.
Im not worried about Jeanty at this point cause you can line him up in the slot or hit him on a wheel route for big gains. My only request is line him up with Washington on the field and really get the defense on their heels..We did it with Marcus and Bo. Other than that unless Jeanty can play defense, he's the least of my concerns right now.

Jets haven’t scored more than 25 all year until today.

Defense appears to get a little worse each week. Still half a season to go but regression is worse than progression if I’m looking at the D coordinator

I really am not sure what to think to be honest with you. They have at times closed ranks and gotten some key stops to help win a game. They have also at times forced some key turnovers but by and large they have been a hot mess. I have seen improvements over recent years and regressions. It's really been a mixed bag and it isn't going to get any easier.
