Raiders Visit NJ to Take On the Jets - Game Day Thread

Unread post by Attyla »

Weather is supposed to be pleasant, with the temperature at 62 degrees with lots of sun.

Spread is Raiders -1.5 and the over/under is 45.5

On tap today, it is really finally chili weather with crusty bread and I will be making a dirty chai martini batch for the wife and I to enjoy

Enjoy the games on tap today fellas

From someone that doesn't have an In& Out anywhere near them, are they really all that? Or just hype?

In and out is ridiculously overrated.

If it had originated in say Omaha Nebraska? I doubt Californians would fawn over it they way they do.

Apparently to some as he sold his soul dearly defending their burger. I really don't have an opinion either way as they are not big where I reside.

I have always been more of a fan of the local burger joints. Five Guys makes fries out of some of my potatoes so I usually visit them when I am in a city that has one.

Hype.

It’s fast food like other fast food that Californians have pumped to be some sort of quasi religious experience.

I mean its descent but the mythology around it is a bit much, that’s putting it politely.

They are good, and prices are less than McDonalds which tells you a lot. Meat quality is solid with the right fat percent. Buns hold up. Fries are fresh cut during the day. Add on's are solid. For the price they are solid. I get a single animal style maybe once a month, and that is only because they are a recent add near us, that number will go down over time but the novelty factor played in.

For me it is more about nostalgia than anything else. Good memories of guys running over after school to pound one down while cranking up the latest hair band tape we had.

No. Nothing ever frozen. In n out is the best fast food. Yes it’s fast food but it’s top tier

That can all be true and still be ridiculously overrated.

About 16 years ago I listened to the CEO of McDonalds give a presentation at a meeting. He basically said he wasn't interested in going after Wendy's, Burger King or the other traditional burger franchisees but rather Starbucks, which seemed odd at the time, but they have kind of morphed into something far different than what Grimace and the Hamburgler had in mind. McDonald's was never the gold standard but their McDlt was pretty tasty back in the day.

It seems as though if a person wants a burger in a traditional sense they need to fire up their grill or go to a local joint.

I'm in Cali it's hype. It's OK nothing special. It's an old restaurant with a small menu so it has that mom and pop feel. Happy Days Diner was way better before it closed down.

Attyla wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 2:04 pm You don't like Maxx because he made a video with his kid. You claimed if he was in the military he could be court marshalled, LOL wow

You will defend anyone who does not like Maxx to the end, PM me again how mean I am
What are you talking about? I never said any of that and don't have an issue with Crosby. I have defended him more than once. I don't necessarily like him seeking the attention that he does but it goes with his generation. Imagine Lester Hayes if he had access to social media back in the day.

You are thinking of someone else.

Honestly dude, we both like the Raiders enough to talk about them on a daily basis. I would just as soon get along with you but you like to cause problems. I tried to appeal to you privately about ratcheting it down. It would kind of suck if you and I couldn't have a civil discourse because I often agree with your take and I have never met a Raiders fan I didn't like...

I am really not interested in a pissing match but if I were being a perpetual dick I would certainly want it called out.

Enjoy the win.

In and Out better than the traditional fast food chains easily but I wouldn’t drive 100 miles out of my way for it. But it is decent quality, much better than average service (here in Ca anyway) Employees almost always very polite and clean cut.

5 Guys is pretty good but it really depends on the fry cook if you get a perfect burger. My experience at 5 Guys differs depending on which one I go.
