NFL Trade Deadline
Ok maybe this doesn’t need its own thread but the deadline is 5 weeks away. I know the next couple weeks will determine if we are buyers but let’s say we get to 5-2 do we make a move?
I really wish we still had Jakobi here but it sounds like a few guys might be available…
Brian Thomas Jr
Marvin Harrison Jr
Jerry Jeudy
Thoughts?

Glad you had a good timeFLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 6:37 pm It was amazing other than the outcome. You can grab a drink or pee with few lines and barely miss a play. First class all the way.
One thing I could see was Cousins going through all his reads and nobody had any seperation. Our WRs are bad. Crowd was hoping for Mendoza in the 2nd half

That is awesome. Cousins has been everything we hoped and wanted. He has exceeded all expectations. Thanks for your service Captain Kirk! You performed admirably but your expiration date is upon us. Hopefully Klint takes care of Cousins and gives him the chance to play meaningful football this season. He has earned it.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 6:37 pm It was amazing other than the outcome. You can grab a drink or pee with few lines and barely miss a play. First class all the way.

I'm still not looking to trade Maxx, but if it happens it happens and I'd hope for a big return. I've honestly been fine with trading Cousins even when we were 3-0. He's leading the league in TD passes, he's tradeable and he's not any part of our future.

our line isnt crappy all the time, it holds up a lot and give kirk time to throw bombs but kirk when the clock runs out just tosses it away and gets sacked for no gain, fernando could run for yds and create more time to throw and he has a gun, not a popgunraider_kin wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 5:37 pm![]()

And see him on the ground 20 times a game behind our crappy line?

i agree kirk is not the future and his contract is wack ....plenty of teams in the hunt could use kirk as an upgrade "vikings, cleveland"and there are teams with qb needing new contracts too like tampon, carolinachucker wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 5:44 am I'm still not looking to trade Maxx, but if it happens it happens and I'd hope for a big return. It will be interesting to see what happens if a playoff contender loses their QB to injury for a significant period of time this weekend. Kubiak does sound like he believes Mendoza's time is coming. Cousins obviously does some things better than Mendoza could due to his vast experience, but Kubiak would recognize that Mendoza does things that Cousins can't do. If the performance expectation is close, then you generally pay the young guy and trade the old guy and thank him on the way out.

Does he have a no trade clause?chucker wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 6:53 am It will be interesting to see what happens if a playoff contender loses their QB to injury for a significant period of time this weekend. I keep reading this trade deadline post and can not help to think how the Ravens f[raiders_icon]cked us. I think we would have drafted Ioane if the trade went through. He is a f[raiders_icon]cking BEAST. I would trade Maxx straight up for him (he is that good). Oh well.

I don’t think so. But even he had a no trade clause I’m sure he’d waive it if the choice is between sitting behind Mendoza or starting for a contender

I hate complaining about non-trades, but for that price you'd think if we made an offer he'd be a Raider. Desperately could have used Nelson.

We cant be giving up draft picks for veterans needing 39 million dollar contracts. Those trades are for superbowl contenders.

They're in win now mode and light years ahead of us. This team doesn't need to throw picks away on a rental playerNoThanksSir wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 9:50 am
