Klint Kubiak - Officially Head Coach
Figured it is best to start a new official thread around Kubiak being our HC as the other one was built up so much around the search. His introduction presser is at 11 PST today.

Reason and skill are two entirely different things. His skill started and ended with him yelling the word "Raiders." He took a championship level high school team and ran that into the ground. High school team. What in the serious hell was given the reigns to a pro level team? We finally have some pros calling the shots. Doofus needs to go to PF Changs and to his strip bars and let the adults do their job while he stays in the corner and diddle himself.

So I was just musing over something. Kubiak seems to be the one to turn this disasterous era around. What gets stuck in my craw is we're counting on Bronco lineage to accomplish this.
Dang! Come a long ways from our early years of domination and disdain

So true. But it was before they became a hated rival ( to me anyway).Trainnvain wrote: Tue May 26, 2026 12:32 pm Al Davis started his pro coaching career with the Chargers![]()

I don't care where they come from as long as they win. Hell, they could be the love child of the Rooney's and the Hunt's kids but if they win I am good.raiderboyron wrote: Tue May 26, 2026 10:24 am So I was just musing over something. Yep, who cares where they come from if the results are good. Even Gruden's roots include a stint with San Fran and Pitt. I was never concerned with the origins story for a coach, I just want a good coach.

If you were Anthony Richardson, Joe Milton, Justin Fields or Trey Lance, would you want to come be a NFL QB as back up QB for a couple of years to learn from Klint, then when their time of learning is over they may have improved enough to make themselves marketable for a starting role on another team????
Would Klint want to them under is wing?
No right or wrong answers or comments.
Peace be upon you brethren.

I can’t imagine Coach K would have an interest in any of them. I mean Shanahan (9’ers) had every reason in the world to make it work and Trey just never got it. Coach K’s scheme has more similarity to Shanahan’s than any other offense in the league.islandboy wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2026 6:55 pm If you were Anthony Richardson, Joe Milton, Justin Fields or Trey Lance, would you want to come be a NFL QB as back up QB for a couple of years to learn from Klint, then when their time of learning is over they may have improved enough to make themselves marketable for a starting role on another team????

As to the others, I think they should watch a whole lotta tape on Terrelle Pryor’s transition from QB to WR if they want any chance of remaining in the NFL.

...I have always felt that not being a buffoon has its advantages....GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 5:29 am I was too, but it ended once he became a Buc, and it became something much darker when he cheerleaded Dungy’s Bucs to beating the holy hell out of my football team in the Super Bowl and spawned a franchise shitstorm that has lasted until (I think) this off season.
It’s not Gruden’s fault he left, that was Big Al, and a Davis has been our downfall since. Big Al started this horror show kickin’ Gruden 1.0 out, and Doofus did his best to one-up him bringin’ in Gruden 2.0.
Things are looking up though, Doofus has backed off of football operations and Kubiak works with his GM rather than thinks he’s one. Kubiak’s also not a buffoon. That helps a lot.

Looking at Kyle’s history as HC and an assistant coach, he does not have the same history as a QB whisperer as Klint. The exception would be his current QB, Mr Purdy.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2026 9:39 pm I can’t imagine Coach K would have an interest in any of them.
