Our Defense
If we're really gonna run a 3-4 then these depth charts should show it. Our line should consist of Hemingway, Laula, and Fatukasi with Crosby and Paye as our OLBs. Crosby played linebacker in high school. The position is not entirely strange to him.

Quay Walker, while not at the level of Dean, has also been very good and much better than he was the last couple of years at green bay. I think Dean makes him better.

Dean is fast becoming my favorite player. I LOVE great LB play more than any position I think. Hell, he's becoming my favorite person!mranquales wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2026 10:16 am Because I think he's better than Crosby.
Dean does exactly what you expect the best player on defense to do: cause havoc and make plays in the clutch. Whenever we needed Dean to make a play, he made it. key turnovers, big hits, momentum-changing tackles. If this is the level of play we can expect from Nakobe Dean, he may go down as one of the best FA pickups we've ever had.
Dean's acquisition alone makes Spytek look like a genius. We legit stole an All-Pro from the Eagles.
Big Cory is climbing up the charts there too. I freakin love his game reviews!- These users gave a High Five to the author powski for the post:

It seems Kubiak and his staff are going to be capable of helping guys like Koonce to reach their true potential. Great attribute that typically leads to success.

Pretty much, hope he's here to stay.
Those ACL's generally is 1 year to get back on the field, but to return to where you were prior, 18 months.

Nakobe Dean has so far been that heartbeat...no slight to one of my favorite Raiders of all time Mad Maxx...but it is what it is...he's that Dog in the middle, that Alpha among Alphas that has produced every damn game like it's his last game to ever play. And that intensity has infected this defense along with Maxx and Koonce and our secondary and damn near errrrbody on this defense and made this a top tier Defense. And I have full faith that we ain't going nowhere....we finally have a fugging old school hard nose Defense again. f[raiders_icon]ck the Chiefs!

Good amount of stat love for our DT’s. Another feather in the cap for good coaching and a great scout team.
A rested Crosby is deadly.

As far as Our defense goes, we can only hope we can control Maye rolling out with the option play. He's a good scrambler who's not afraid to take off which has in recent years been a major problem. The Raiders have struggled to cover the flat when pressure forces a throw out there. The Bills could not cover Romeo Doubs at all, he was unstoppable. Maye will go there a lot!

Don’t know how much of the Bills you’ve watched but their defense has been bad all year. Really bad.Rdrfan1964 wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2026 5:09 pm As far as Our defense goes, we can only hope we can control Maye rolling out with the option play. Ill say this, with the way our FA additions and some of our young players are developing, we may be an elite (or near elite) DT and a little better depth from having a top 5 nfl defense.
