Post Game thread - no moral victories, But…
Don’t believe in moral victories but the Raiders fought till the end.
In years past this team would have folded. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t mistake free but we just proved we can go toe to toe with the Chiefs this year.

....aside from mistakes that cost us, it is clear that kk wants to will the running game in to producing, and with that as part of his plan, he will keep with it until it works, or until he has the right parts to make it work.
....that was a huge test, but despite the positive outcome of the last 3 weeks', is only the fourth game into this. ...stay tuned....
We want wins, we all do.
The next best is being in the fight and not giving up which this team has regularly done since 2004.
We traded punches with them and came up short.
Asd to of all this we’re just starting. There are a lot of punch drunk Chiefs fans crowing. Great you won enjoy it, congrats. At the same time?
We’re improving. Are we back? Who knows but what I do know we aren’t door mats anymore.

This is why I'm good with Cousins in, he's really doing amazing in the pocket. I bet for most of the time yesterday he was frustrating their defense of always being super close but not quite.Viper wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 6:12 am Good post. After watching the game again, the O line is still figuring out run blocking and we didn’t give up any sacks even tho pressure got to Cousins multiple times. Penalties were down, also.
Mendoza most likely would be getting sacked/int more right now.
The Oline isn't there yet.
Spags creed and it's right for a defense - I rather lose bringing pressure than lose not (paraphrase).
For a bit over 1/2 the game Cousins was battling pressure in the pocket almost always, that's what swallowed Geno up.
Cousin's is having a completely redeeming year so far.

I think Paye and Koonce forgot to set their alarm clocks.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda... time to move on and focus on the next game.
We’ll beat the Chiefs at their place for the AFC West title, and keep rolling toward our fourth Super Bowl championship.

well, ive had sometime to process this loss
raiders played their guts out, traded blow for blow with the chiefs and pushed em to the brink
im proud of our boys even though we came out on the short side of things ...its pretty obvious what costed us was a few mistakes but the team never gave up and our offensive game plan was good as per usual...we took on spags defense and went up and down the field easily despite having crap wrs and crap running, our running game is a problem, oline isn't opening up running lanes and rb's are swallowed up and knocked down to easily
defense held up for the most part but you know andy reid/mahomer is gonna figure it out eventually which is why it is so important to score tds and not fg, the raiders r close to being contenders now but lack a few pieces
ps lets get back to winning next week

I've been pondering the game overnight. There is far more to be excited over than be disappointed about even though we couldn't get the win.
Andy Reid (and his team) are one of the best in the league and we very nearly caused an upset. We fought hard and kept up the intensity until the final whistle. I've always said that there is no shame losing to better players as long as our team gives everything they have and we certainly did that yesterday.
I have no problem with going for it on 4th down. On paper it looks like we left the 3 pts on the field, but the game state would have changed significantly if we took the fg. It wasn't the reason we didn't win. I'm fine with being aggressive and going for it although the play call was a poor decision.
We have a talent deficiency in particular areas. This can't be fixed in one year but the signs are very promising. We now have a large enough sample size to know what needs upgrading.
Nasty, road grading guards who have bad intentions and an attitude of eating the person in front of them.
Giant man mountain DT who shits double teams onto the opposing qb and makes rb's bounce onto the floor for no gain
2x WR who makes the opposing secondary stay honest. One big red zone target and one shifty speed merchant
We aren't far off and the improvement in coaching is having a huge impact. So far, this season has been way beyond where I hoped we would be. I'm excited to watch us play and know that we will give anyone a hard game. There's a tough run of games coming up and I hope we don't lose our collective heads if there's a few more losses sprinkled in there. After all these years we are finally trending in the right direction. Got to give Kubiak props for the job he's done so far, fingers crossed he keeps it going.

i agree"this team isn't far off of being a contender" our upgrades at coaching have been tremendous and it shows on teh field but we r missing a few huge pieces to be a threat to real contenders (wr,guards,dt) our wr crew sucks period, our guards sucks and at dt we need a true beast to stuff the run gME

KUBIAKS GAME CALLING AND SCHEMEING IS NEXT LEVEL...reminds me of mcvay and shanahan ...finds and exploits defenses despite having shit at wr and getting enarly no running attack

Heard on one of the shows this morning that Tyreek Hill is looking for another team and could go back to KC. Would he be a fit in Kubiaks offense? I think so if the money was right.
