The Chiefs Invade Vegas, The Game Day Thread

Unread post by Attyla »

The line last I checked was 4.5 and the over/under was 47.5

Most the nation will get the game. What's on the menu? What is the drink of choice? Questions remain but one question will be answered today, are the Raiders pretenders to the thrown or are they legitimate. We will find out soon enough. But just in case, keep sharp objects away from you as you watch the Raiders host the Chiefs.

Enjoy the game

I want a win badly but we're just not at their level yet. We have a first year defensive coordinator with his biggest test. He's playing chess with Andy Reid. Reid has been doing this a long time.

I will happily eat crow if we win but if we don't at least make it close and make the chiefs feel like they were in a fight.

To early in the season to really know what either team actually is. One thing for certain is KC is beatable and these are not the same Chiefs.

Soph Step-Up Sunday:

Caleb Rogers - big day
Tonka - The QB and Walker III must go down, and down hard
Jeanty - find your A-game... or take a week off if you're hurt, or make way for Big Mike
D Porter - No shame in losing snaps to Magic Masses, but mix-in and help keep Pola-Moa off the field.

Raiders win today and it will be their signature win. A message to the league, to the fan base, to the world we are again relevant. Anything other than, at minimum, a competitive game and the talking heads will be out in full force about being pretenders, being a fluke.
A win puts us solely into first place and all the momentum in the world. A loss means we’re chasing the division leaders in what probably turns out to be a futile effort.

Would absolutely love to see Kelce have one of the worst games of his career today. Looking old doing it.

Making a stew for dinner. Simple but tasty, diced red potatoes, diced carrots and celery. Add in chunks of yellow onion and two bay leaves. Meat is a very lean chuck roast with a beef broth sauce. Add in some red wine deglaze of the pan. Crusty bread on the side. I will thicken the sauce once the crockpot does its duty to tender up the meat. Cook on low for 7 hours and boom, dinner.

As for the game, since they went (mostly) nationwide for the game, I am golden. But I have the package regardless.

I would love to see the line have their best run blocking game of the year. DJ can do it. I hope Caleb steps up. Burford Im just hoping he isnt completely horrible today. But Linderbaum has always been a good run blocker. To be able to run well vs the Chiefs is what I'd like to see.

Breakfast: Double Whopper with Cheese, Plain, and an extra large Vanilla Iced Coffee.

Lunch: 40 mg of edibles (legal in AZ). Since I can no longer consume alcohol in any form, this is the next best thing (and even better in many ways).

The game has been flexed to even more stations. This is our chance to show the world we're for real.

Predictions: Bowers shows up big-time in spite of whatever illness was just mentioned on RedZone. Maxx adds a couple of sacks, Paye and Dean add a couple more, Jeanty and Washington take the Chiefs D to Pound Town, and we win by 10.

Is it too soon to be pissed at the refs of today's game? I kind of am a little, there's just no reason for it yet.

Proof that having a competent backup is crucial to success.

This weekend is a prime example.

I just hope we punch them in the mouth and keep it competitive. Can't do our usual give up points early and often. Keep it close and anything can happen with a turnover or 2.
I don't see us hanging with them but its nice to know we have a shot. We will find out if we are fir real today
