Chiefs fans can talk all they want—and honestly, they’ve earned that right. The Raiders haven’t done enough yet to be considered one of the top-echelon teams in the NFL.

But that’s exactly why you play the game. We need to prove it on the field on Sunday, and in the next few weeks. This week game will test how far the Raiders have come along. I hope we pull a win, but it will be a hard-fought game.

Well this is relative..THIS Raider team hasn’t done enough, and the Chiefs of the last 6-7 years have..and the fans who’ve been there prior to that gave earned the right, not the bandwagon casuals. Many of us here have been around when the Raiders were consistently one of the top echelon teams and have sat through the slop shit for better part of two decades..so we certainly have earned the right to talk shit. That said this current year Raiders are slowly earning the right as well.

I f[raiders_icon]cking hate the chiefs but on paper they’re the better team. Easy to forget we were the worst team in the NFL 3.5 weeks ago. From what we’ve seen so far we are SO f[raiders_icon]cking far ahead of schedule it’s incredible.

So to the chiefs I say… you may win… You should win. You’re the chiefs and we just finished with the 1st overall pick. But enjoy this while it lasts… Kubiak in one offseason has this team 3-0. And judging by what he’s been able to do with Kirk… I’m pretty optimistic about what he can do with Mendo once it’s his time.

Stop the RB is key here. Chiefs Oline suspect, Travis Swift is old but he can still be a pest, Mahomes is not 100% yet on the knee yet, but his 80% is just as good. Kubiak knows Kenneth Walker so he may be able to give the defense some pointers on his tells. Like what direction he favors on certain plays. Speaking of which Sanjit was doing a breakdown of the Saints games and he felt the Saints defense knew when Jeanty was going to run like they were already breaking toward the gaps before the ball was snapped. He felt someone was giving something away presnap, either the line or Jeanty, to signal its a run play. Gotta fix this.

This may very well be true but as a team it’d sure be nice to get to the point where it doesn’t matter if they even know what play you’re running. Dominate the line, get push to their side of the ball and open lanes. Play a style of bully ball that you actually have the horses to be able to tell them what you’re running and the defense being overmatched to the point there’s nothing they can do about it. Maybe a pipe dream but that’s the direction we should be aiming to achieve.

Seems like it’s been forever since we’ve been able to go into a game with a clear advantage in the trenches, on either side of the ball, where that’s what’s being talked about as being a big advantage for us.
