What They Said, the Saints Edition
Was that a Raiders home game?
There were an embarrassing number of Raider fans in the dome today.
If the Saints want a dominate home field advantage, they cannot continuously choke when at home.
The refs, but we should be used to that.
This. Was screaming the whole game, just double Bowers!
We didn’t lose because of players….
I was giving the refs the middle finger from the terrace!
Do we expect anything else from the NFL. The Raiders will be the Super Bowl Champs. At least that what the refs think
As I was trying to figure out why the Raiders got every single call in that game, I remembered this. Traditionally they were the most penalized team in the league. I guess Tom fixed that.
Thats one of the worst losses the Saints have had in a long time.
I think my wife agreed today that we're done. After the No Call, I said we were done, but she loves going to the games. Today, she saw how dejected I was and I think she's OK with our being done. It's been 60 years, pretty sad.
Hey fellars, can we not lather our fingers in butter before handling the football. Eat after the game. Possibly the most ridiculous, crap luck filled garbage game I've ever seen.
Oh please stop. Are you seriously comparing Belicheck and Moore
If y'all can't see the difference in the effort of the team under Kellen Moore vs. DA, then I can't help you.

Funny thing is, when I saw it, I actually laughed out loud. I did not expect it, but once I saw it I had to include it.

Yea, and I am a victim of my own takes on Carr and my sense of humor. The combination of past words and actions made that look suspect. But yea, it was an actual find over there. I went through a number of threads to build these this week but I think that particular one was found on one of the last pages of their version of the game day thread.MexicanHulk wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 11:54 am Wait, that was actually a real post from one of them? It’s like a car crash over at saints report that you just can’t help but look at.
They are STILL pissing and moaning about how they got “robbed.”
It’s as if they can’t believe or refuse to believe they lost to the Raiders.
I hope a lot more fan bases experience that this season.

Given our history with officiating, I could not give the slightest f*** if bad calls go our way. If a ref took a TD away from the other team and said, "No TD because the Raiders are my favorite team," I'd be 100% fine with it.Willmark wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2026 8:03 am It’s like a car crash over at saints report that you just can’t help but look at.

No doubt. We are very familiar with bad calls as Raider fans.Opoponax50 wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2026 8:09 am Given our history with officiating, I could not give the slightest f*** if bad calls go our way. As I noted up thread they are still crying about the No Call vs the Rams and “how it killed the fan base.”

I'll always believe that for decades we got the ass end of calls. The stats bear that out, with different Owner/GM/Coaching it never made a difference and to me and the math probability was astronomical that we just couldn't catch a break here. Also reading an article from a retired Ref 20 some years ago, he stated this, "we don't feel we unfairly call penalties against the Raiders, but for the refs when you got the Raiders, it was Raider Week for that ref team, directed by the NFL. The game was called tighter to keep control of the game". We played 16 of those games per year where others played 0-2 of those games per year, there was more penalties called both ways. That creates the unbalance towards us without being out for the Raiders directly, but this indirect "Raider Week" hits the Raiders hard. I also was reconfirmed during the period of the scab refs, our penalties dropped way off, they hadn't been condition to the Raider reffing experience. One last thing to add here in the late 70's early 80's they were a rule changes made attributed to the way the Raiders played (we weren't quite alone but we got stuck with owning it), that lingers. In the 90's when we started losing more, we lost our cool often and fights happened announcers: "here we go again, this is what the Raiders do they try to muddy it up" this added to the perception as well, imo more of a sore losers one, this era carried it's own frustrations.Willmark wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2026 8:03 am It’s like a car crash over at saints report that you just can’t help but look at.

But that really has changed now and for several years. While the team and game has tamed overall, that naturally helps out the "control the game part" and perhaps Mark (not joking) has smoothed that out league wide and deserves some credit there. Even paying the Rat helps perception that the Raiders are a NFL team player instead of an adversary to it. It's cool to be that rebel, but if they want to hammer us over it... that's a hard hill to get over.
The Saints for whatever reason have been the poster boy for odd calls or maybe even more accurate odd situations that lead to tough calls for a while now. So they are once bitten twice shy. Did I find the last game unfairly called? No. We had some big mistakes against us to. If they didn't get butter fingers in the 4th (we applied some of that butter to), they probably had us.
