3-0 party in NO post game thread
The Raiders are a real football team this year! What else needs to be said. From coaching to how they are playing they are a legit team. For the first time since 2021 we are 3-0 and we made the playoffs this year.
1 White and Masses deserve active roster spots. White has been catching touchdown. and masses has been getting picks.
2 The defense was a lot like the 2016 defense today. The Saints scored a lot on them BUT they made up for it by getting numerous turnovers. If you can’t make em punt. That is a viable alternative.
3 Dean has completely changed this defense. Best FA signing in years.
4 Klint showed what he is made off as a coach when his team was down 11. So far he is the best HC we have heard since Gruden 1.0 and coaching makes a huge difference
5 We missed Bowers, he opens so much for the offense.I expect things to get easier for the running game with him back.
6 Let’s not fight over Jeanty and Washington. If they are one two punch that only helps the Raiders. Klint’s offense is based on the run so if they are both productive that is only good.

The old rule of thumb is empty hand moving forward. Doesn’t where the ball goes after the hit. That Detroit play looks like an incomplete pass to me. Just went and watched it. Saints fans are crying over a legit rule.Raider_Dave wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 8:30 pm Nope... the Detroit game they ruled his arm was moving forward so it was an incomplete pass. The odd thig about that one was, the ball went backwards, so being a backwards pass it should have been a live ball. The refs ruled that because he was intending to throw it forward, it doesn't matter that it went backwards. That could lead to some very interesting calls when it might not be so clear what the intent was.

...i'm ok, for now, with being 'the worst 3-0 team'....Southshield wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 6:05 pm Looking forward to hearing all next week that the Saints are a terrible team and hitting the panic button..

Scary part is they are 3-0 and I'm not sure they've played their best ball yet. Defense just finds a way to make a play. How many turnovers have they created? 6, maybe 7? That's usually a season's worth.

Absolutely. The Laube kickoff fumble would start crippling them in most seasons.

Can't believe I've lost track after 3 games. Winning the turnover battle will result in wins 98% of the time.

Possibly closer to 95% or higher even.
Also - I remember back in the day kind of liking the Saints and their fans. They seemed almost like an NFC Raiders-lite type team, aesthetically at least.
They still seem to have a lot of great fans, but I was surprised how irritating so many of them are now/were during this week.- These users gave a High Five to the author powski for the post:

...I will say that despite the outcome, which I am beyond happy about, and with the understanding that i did feel we had a chance before the game, this is a good example of the gymnasium dome feel to the game that just seems not right.
...as much as I didn't want to do the Vegas thing, and definitely not the same,. the light and natural grass helps to make it not like the saints experience.

This is incredible. I can not believe we are 3-0 and are going to have our Super Bowl this weekend at home. I am not going to lie. I am concerned with both lines.

Three weeks in we now have a good grasp on Kubiak.
So far so good. He has them prepared and the team is t folding when facing adversity.
Cousins? He is comfortable in the system and it shows dating back to his time in Minnesota. Sure some mistakes are there but no panic. Back out at the next drive. And to be honest I don’t think we could ask for a better scenario to unfold: the offense hasn’t (possibly) hit its stride yet and it’s operating at a high level.
The Defense? Bend don’t break. I love they sent the house late in the game: “might as well die with your boots on.”
In the past we would have sat back and got picked apart.
Defense in general no longer Maxx and a bunch of guys. We’ve got playmakers at all levels and it shows.
My one area of concern/area for improvement is the OL. I think they are playing fairly well but if they can REALLY start jelling Jeanty could go crazy. It seems like a lot of times he’s on the edge of an explosive play and gets tackled. I tbink it will come but after decades of misery we want it now.
In all not a perfect game, things to clean up but so far so good. And the best part was they didn’t fold when it got tough and battled back.

I want to see a game, and soon, where Washington gets 10-20 touches. He's earned that. I think that's a key point.
Kirk Cousins is absolutely ballin. No more Kirk Slander. What a steal of a signing. Many, including myself were sceptical (perceived contract demands) but that has been a slam dunk.
Nakobe Dean is a fuckin stud. Quay Walker is too. Massas three picks in two career starts?! His college skillset is proving to be legit. So many steals everywhere for the Raiders! Malcolm Koonce is playing like we all know he can & has previously shown. That's huge!
Many a Saints fan was talking mad shit & acting cunty leading up to the game. I'm glad the Raiders kicked their fuckin door in, took over, then slammed their door shut in their faces in the 4th quarter. A quarter the Saints had dominated the first two weeks
