The Chargers Host Our Raiders Game Day Thread
Well, here is the first test of the season. We play the second half of the game day schedule.
Chargers are favored by 6.5 points
Over/Under is 43.5
Last game the Chargers got rocked by the Cardinals 26-14. The Raiders beat the Dolphins 27-13 in what could be considered a tune up game.

There's lots to work on. That's ok. Jeanty will work his ass off and be hyper-focused to avoid a repeat of that performance. Cody White is a nice story, but I would prefer to see our top talent making the game winning plays, because it seems more sustainable.HesterLayes wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2026 6:10 pm I’ll be the dick..Ashton’s receiving was ass and I think he will be fine
Run game wasn’t it today..line was not dominating in that aspect
Now I have to temper my enthusiasm about potentially getting some trade compensation for Cousins at some point. Don't jinx it.

Yeah..I’m just pointing out a couple things because I’m old and grumpy.. could be the chargers just have a good run d as well..held cardinals to 3 something a carry last week.
I can see Ashton with the jugs machine all day tomorrow

Everything we did today seemed intentional, not a fluke. This is what a well coached team looks like, even when they don’t have more talent. They find ways to win and not dwell on bad plays.

There were quite a few drops today...Jeanty dropped 3 of them I believe...but you could just see in his face how badly he felt.HesterLayes wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2026 6:10 pm I’ll be the dick..Ashton’s receiving was ass and I think he will be fine

And yeah, the run game wasn't what it was last week. I'd like to see more of Jeanty and Washington in the backfield in tandem. Seems clear to me that the left side of the OL is better than the right side so maybe they make some adjustments. Maybe a bit more of staring one our two RBs in motion to make the defenders account for them which might create some confusion for our opponents defense.

Everyone needs to remember Jeanty is the reason Cody White was wide open on the 2nd TD, the reason Tre Tucker was able to exploit back up safeties for 100 plus and a tuddy..
When Philly crushed KC in the Superbowl, Saquon had a poor game statistically but it was because Chiefs sold out to stop him.. And got burned for it through the air. Jeanty opens so many opportunities just being on the field . And with a healthy Bowers..you can see why Kubiak took this job now
