Training wheels come off, it is time to make this a reality.
Welcome to the NFL Mendoza, and welcome to being the leader of the Raiders Klint Kubiak. Let's get this thing going. And yea, as always, I sipped the Koolaid.

I’m all for giving him a chance to find outJeevo wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 9:25 am I think he finds a spot if we release him. There are a lot of complete train wreck QBs in the league and he can replace one of them I think.

Observations from Pre Season Game 1 - Take them or leave them.
-Relieved to know we have 2 Starting Caliber QBs after years of throw away QBs
-One of these QBs flashed some elite physical traits
-What difference a real OC and OL coach make for a group of lineman along with an anchor like Tyler L
-RB group could be especial…
-Who ever plays QB, when Bowers is on the field we could something really nice
-When FM plays that back should play will be pretty to watch. Davante would have been a perfect fit for FM
-The D flashed some potential with our new LB duo.
-McCoy still has some rust after year and half of not playing.
-First real game contact so a pass for the D for this game, but if the 1st unit does not get pressure they will need to add power up front.

Aiden's throws were absolutely horrible.Viper wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 9:19 am That horse has been ridden and it’s time to put it out to pasture. Aiden is a good kid but by no means a starting Quarterback in the league. I’m not sure he can even make a 53 man roster at this point for any team.
Might be best to focus on a real hopeful guy like we now have. Would probably get a few less eye rolls from most here instead of trying to make Aiden into something he’s just not.

Is AOC a starting QB?...no, he's nothing more than a 3rd stringer and 3rd stringers are no expected to be very good, otherwise they'd starting. And I have never really understood the amount of attention paid to him.

Its only one person who called him and I quote "a demigod".raidersince63 wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 12:30 pm Is AOC a starting QB?...no, he's nothing more than a 3rd stringer and 3rd stringers are no expected to be very good, otherwise they'd starting. The rest of us realize what he is. He's a descent backup for maybe a game a two but he's not a starter.

I think AOC will end up being a career Journeyman backup QB. Hes a decent 2nd stringer compared to the rest of the league. On our team hes not going to see much playing time at all considering hes 3rd string. We should try to trade him, maybe to New England since JMD drafted him for his scheme.raidersince63 wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 12:30 pm Is AOC a starting QB?...no, he's nothing more than a 3rd stringer and 3rd stringers are no expected to be very good, otherwise they'd starting. It'll be interesting to see if he is retained. Out of the 32 teams last year 13 of them kept 3 quarterbacks on there 53 man roster the other 19 used guys on the practice squad as emergency back ups. Guess which one of the teams out of the 13 that kept 3 quarterbacks? Yep, the seahawks. Now, who knows who call that was but may have been because of the situation. They had just drafted Milroe in the 3rd and there was no way they were going to have him backing up Darnold. I'm leaning towards thinking they will keep Adian seeing we aren't expected to make a whole lot of noise this year.

I put him #2 after Kirk is gone. He'll not be a money issue. Him and Fernando starting from scratch in this offense. He's serviceable. My take.rich72 wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 3:13 pm I think AOC will end up being a career Journeyman backup QB. Hes a decent 2nd stringer compared to the rest of the league. This is also and excellent point. Keeping Adian next year as a backup that now knows the system might be an option. Even though he is a FA next year that wouldn't stop us from signing him and he just may want to stay anyway...raiderboyron wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 4:11 pm I put him #2 after Kirk is gone. But there has also been a lot of very negative attention thrown his way.Willmark wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 2:57 pm Its only one person who called him and I quote "a demigod".

Yeah, maybe thats why they brought in the rookie Clark, to start with a clean slate of QB's. Maybe he can push O'Connel out and we can have a super cheap 3rd string/ backup for the next 4 years.raiderboyron wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 4:11 pm I put him #2 after Kirk is gone. If Clark doesn't have cement feet I'm for him.rich72 wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 4:30 pm Yeah, maybe thats why they brought in the rookie Clark, to start with a clean slate of QB's. Maybe he can push O'Connel out and we can have a super cheap 3rd string/ backup for the next 4 years.

He is the qb I was hoping the Raiders would draft late in the draft or get as a udfa.
according to some news reports the Raiders did pick him up as a udfa but I can't find him anywhere on the Raiders official site.
