I am forever grateful I live in this country with its freedom and opportunities. I know there are inequities and everything isn’t always just, but for today, i am only thinking about the good. We are going to an outdoor concert with BBQ. Party on.

Happy Birthday to the country that we live in! My family has many military roots that are deeply embedded in our history.
There is nowhere else on earth that grants us the freedoms we enjoy due to the sacrifices of others.

And add the other father of our
Nation. Happy birthday AL!

Have a good one guys. I'm off to my brother's house to commence a little (maybe more) Bourbon tasting and fire up the grill. Who doesn't love standing next to a hot grill when it's 95 deg. outside?

250 years. That's how long our country has endured so far. I can't help but think about all the great things that America has accomplished in that time. The medical advancements,  technological advancements. The peace from world wars 1&2 that wouldn't have been possible without America. But most of all our constitution. The document our founding fathers drafted laying out our rights that are given by God. Not given by the govt. Yes during that time there have been mistakes made. And politicians trying to take away those rights.  But we always come back stronger than before. As a constitutionalist when it comes to politics I stand on the truths that the founding fathers laid out. And I'm proud to say that pretty much every able bodied member of my family has fought, bled, and died to defend.  I'm proud of what America has become. These days it seems to be the last standing hope of freedom in the world. Stand tall USA. We are still right here with you and will defend our freedoms. We will stand proud of our country. We will not waiver and the colors will not run. Happy birthday to the greatest country ever known.

And thank you to all the other countries who support the team, not least of which are our neighbors to he north and south. Without the international fanbase, we are a simple regional team from an original small market. It brings me great pleasure that we are represented by so many fans around the world. Even the Canadian guys. I kid of course.

I am proudly mostly drunk in Irish whiskey having enjoyed breakfast tacos this morning, and am looking forward to watching a movie made by an Italian and getting ready to eat apple pie, an invention of England and then will possibly throw up in the toilet, an invention of a Scottish engineer. But that being said, I will value the contributions of my own country which has a vast number of inventions including but not limited to the game of football, not to be confused with football, baseball, not to be confused with cricket, and darts, not to be confused with archery.

our founding fathers were British elite who were mostly not born American, but we have been kicked out of every decent country in the world. Our heroes are guys like Cameron Poe, a felon, Jesse James, a killer, and Abraham Lincoln who lost every major election and had more failed businesses than pretty much every notable American ever. We have elected an actor to the highest office of the country, we have allowed a movieland convicted murderer to portray our president and we have portrayed our president taking a life.

We are a nation of sitcoms, romcoms and comicons. We are so many contradictions and yet we make it work. We are the land of the free and the home of the self medicated. We are the United States of Prozac and we celebrate every year our right to eat our hotdogs and apple pie as if we invented either one and we raise our finger to anyone who says otherwise.

Congrats fellow colonists.
I am grateful for my free healthcare.
But you get to shoot firearms without restriction, fair trade.

Belated Happy 4th to all. Was out most of the day yesterday preparing for and attending a family bbq. Being in Jersey near the shore my wife and I witnessed the incredible array of fly overs. What a spectacular sight and the sound of the jets could be heard before you could even see them fly over. I like most on this board believe we live in the best country in the world. I have members in my family that are in law enforcement and risk their lives for our safety everyday and I cannot thank the families of our service members enough for the sacrifices they endure to keep our country safe.

Happy Birthday Al you were to football what the founding fathers were to our country, a true trailblazer.
