How dare you bring up angles without mentioning the use of a protractor.vtraider wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 7:42 am A lot of time because of bad angles Kirk made the tackle. But only after the opponent made the first down

“Last 20 years?”
Besides a few long snappers, kickers and punters, I’ve got nothing

Morrison was decent linebacker; and that how bad the raiders were….we just did not invest in linebackers…linebacker were normally our sixth and seventh round picksAttyla wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 3:08 am So we are not supposed to talk about such things, do you want me jus to say things like "Morrison sucks, durrrrrrr" so that you can feel better about your football knowledge?

Well, Morrison and his numbers look better than the reality. He got a lot of tackles because our Dline was not great for a good portion of his career. When the Dline fails, the linebacker gets to straight line tackle and that was true for Morrison. Don't get me wrong, all linebackers get that duty when the Dline fails and he did his job as a result. But asking Morrison to go out into coverage was asking a subpar player to do things they are just not capable of doing and that was his game when they did ask that of him, and unfortunately they asked that of him way more often than they should have. But the defenses were just not good enough to keep him playing up.SuperRaider wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:31 am Morrison was decent linebacker; and that how bad the raiders were….we just did not invest in linebackers…linebacker were normally our sixth and seventh round picks

Punters love the raiders; if you make the raiders punting squad you are guaranteed to get about 10 to 15 punts a gameXramfan wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 8:20 am “Last 20 years?”

Although PFF might have had Miller graded higher, I would go with Penn out of the two of them.SuperRaider wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 9:48 am Donald Penn should have been LT on the list…he went to two probowls while with the Raiders….Kolton never been to a probowl game

I think he gave up only a couple of sacks in his first two years and one of them was the Xmas eve Carr leg injury. Great signing and a mean SOB.Diesis wrote: Tue Jun 30, 2026 8:14 am Although PFF might have had Miller graded higher, I would go with Penn out of the two of them.

That list is way off imo anyway but good for discussion.
