He’s def one to keep an eye out for. His profile looks good. The biggest knock on him was physical side. Hoping an NFL weight room and shift from college to full time job will serve him well. Hope he can add strength without sacrificing speed.

Taking a flyer on Masses in the 5th round was a solid move. The guy is very talented. We'll see come September.

Nice. I hope he's a difference maker. He hasn't been yet but I think he can be better, even good. He's got the athleticism, seems to have the right attitude. Some players take longer and just need health and enough experience. And the right situation.

Yep nearly nothing other than injury can come out of camp that matters to me.
It's all the same shit different year.
Tons of Bech praise by posters this year, believe it when I see it.
Didn't happen until it does. He's a question mark like 90% of this team is.
We won't know jack until preseason and then it often lies to.
But I will say the 'Hawks looked great in preseason last year and that carried through the whole way.
Is some of this interesting? Yes. But I'm not buying anything now.

I hope he plays well this year but don't care about pre pads "buzz". We dont have much to go on. There's no real substance to even write about yet, and the puff pieces will continue until there is. So what? You'll just have to keep rolling your eyes at it.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 3:24 pm Difference maker? I dont like reading the short "he sucks" and "garbage player" takes here but I don't complain about them either.
Im not counting on anything.
I didn't remember he was selected with the pick we traded to GB.- These users gave a High Five to the author powski for the post (total 4):

Yet you continually tell us how a qb that hasn't taken a a preseason snap in the NFL yet, is our best option at the position. Spare the look at what he did in college rhetoric. That's absolutely meaningless at this pointBoKnows81 wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 3:24 pm Difference maker? He hasn't taken one snap here and wasnt even close to a difference maker on his old team. Saw some film of the OTA's and Paye stood out. Maybe he finally gets to the next level?

Not quite sure why some people were down on the Paye signing. His sack numbers did kind of fall off last year but he also came into the year injured and that could've hampered him all season. I think he's going to surprise some people as he was coming into his own the couple years before last seasonAttyla wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 6:42 am Saw some film of the OTA's and Paye stood out. He was who I wanted when that draft was happening. Leatherwood may have won the Outland trophy but that did not justify his draft status. What a wasted pick.Hellbound wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 6:57 am Not quite sure why some people were down on the Paye signing. I won't speak for the Paye detractors, and this is my first time posting about Paye so I don't count myself among them, but I have my own version of an answer so I'll add it to the mix:Hellbound wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 6:57 am Not quite sure why some people were down on the Paye signing. I liked the Paye signing when we got him. At that moment in time, Maxx was gone and while Paye is no Maxx, he seemed like someone who could raise the floor of what would have been a depleted position.
With Maxx back, and Koonce healthy, and Crawford drafted, Paye is more of a luxury than a need. Yes, it's nice to have a deep room with 4 guys you feel comfortable having on the field, but could his $16m been used to try to make a push for someone who could've raised the floor of another group?
In other words, it's more about opportunity cost than it is about not liking the player. I bet (hope) he'll be solid opposite Maxx and/or off the bench, just wonder if the same money could've been better spent somewhere else

Paye was a good get. Not flashy. Very good against the run. Solid but not spectacular sack production. Entering his prime (technically younger than Koonce).Raiders Baby wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 11:49 am I won't speak for the Paye detractors, and this is my first time posting about Paye so I don't count myself among them, but I have my own version of an answer so I'll add it to the mix:

Koonce has done nothing to show he is worth what he was paid last year or this year. He’s been inconsistent and half a season of production primarily from 3 games. If you want to talk about reallocation of funds in the edge room, I’d start there.
