Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations
With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.
Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.
Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.
Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

I was not a fan of the Chargers offseason. I predict Harbaugh either quits or is fired by the end of 2027 season.

Hemby is supposedly a good blocker. I hope he runs well enough to make the 53 as hb3. Washington is the type of rb2 I was hoping for, a home run threat. Someone to be accounted for. He'll get carries but I think his blocking could hold him back if he's really bad. I've heard mixed mainly negative reviews of his college blocking, but even so he can get better at it with the right coaching and willingness to work on it.vtraider wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 2:26 pm I could see it breaking down 20 for Jeanty 10 for Washington. And maybe 5 for hemby depending on how the game is going- These users gave a High Five to the author powski for the post:

Jeanty has to get him on some of that otherworldly balance work he does. It’s so bizarre seeing Washington plant dudes into the earth that take him head-on, but go down with ease when someone gets a swipe at his ankle.powski wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 6:51 pm Hemby is supposedly a good blocker. Planting dudes into the earth works ok at the college level but he’s now playing with the big boys. It’s just not going to be that easy where he is now playing with the select group of very best football players on the planet trained to destroy.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 4:44 am Jeanty has to get him on some of that otherworldly balance work he does. Derek Henry, at over 250 pounds and very strong, is the only back I can think of that can do it at a reasonable success rate, and even he struggles to at times.
Washington most likely is used for a change of pace, rest for Jeanty and short yardage situations. Heyward may even be used on the brotherly shove play at times.

Is this a hint that Doofus believes Mendoza starts the season under center? No, I think that is not the case but alluding to Mendoza starting should not come from an owner.

I didn't read anything in Davis' comments that change where The Raiders are right now. Mendoza was drafted to be the starting QB of the Las Vegas Raiders is a true statement, but it doesn't change the timetable.

agree, relax and let it play out for all we know the owner may be talking to brady,hc and staff once in a while, you know the guys he hired to do the job of determining who starts and sits...pre season will determine everything but watching fernando throw lasers with accuracy vs cousins is a real eye opener...this is all about if fernando is able to get everything down pat (under center, footwork ec ect) we already know the kid knows the play bookSkullCrusher wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 7:41 am People (not you) looking for drama anywhere they can find it. As long as he keeps his fumblefuck fingers out of the pie and does nothing football-related besides signing checks, we should be good, as this offseason can attest.Attyla wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 6:57 am https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articles/p ... 46931.html

Doofus is, and always has been, a player-friendly fan who just happened to have lucked into owning a football team.

Realistic expectation...... just finish at 500... and don't look incompetent. I don't think that's asking too much.

We have a lot of new pieces and a tough schedule. Always hard to guess W/L this time of the year, especially this offseason.
The only thing I can say concretely at this point is I’d really like to see us avoid any blowout losses this year. We play some good teams, can we hang with them? Maybe even sneak a win or two we “shouldn’t”? Can we win the majority of the games we “should”? Those are the main things I’m gonna be looking for.
If we hit those marks, it would make me feel a lot more confident that we’re gonna take that next step the following season, which I think is the main goal for the year

I fell for the trap last season but I would like to think they can flirt with .500
No less than 6-7 wins for me. I can't do another 3-14 or 4-13.

Too many Charlie Brown kicking attempts for me to think this team is anything but a bottom-7 unit in the league.
I cannot wait for the day when that isn’t true, and hopefully that starts this season.

I said 2 wins last year and then hedged on it. Should've stayed away from the K-A and stuck with my gut.
