At the same time the law and justice are two separate things.
Agreed. And it's also two separate discussions

Ruggs blaming his actions on his desire to escape the fame he never asked for or liked is a huge crock of shit.

Said his actions were due to his attempt to escape the fame he never asked for or wanted. That is almost a word for word quote from his parole hearing. So drinking to double the legal limit and then driving 156 miles an hour on a surface road just makes sense. Damn you fame, damn you to hell.

You might be a king, or a lowly street sweeper

We will find out soon enough. Apparently only two reviewers were on site, the others will review the tape. I have no idea which way they are going to rule but only 4 have to say yes for him to walk.

I don’t think Ruggs will do his full time but I’d be shocked if he’s paroled this soon.

How often will his chance at parole come up? Every year?

From what I understand, on shorter sentences, with the possibility of parole, the inmate is reviewed yearly. Ruggs sentence was 3-10 years so this is is first review.

He won't get let out on his first try IMO. He got off way too easily as it is with the police screwing it up. Hoping the NFL doesn't let him jump right back in when he is released. He wasn't a great player Im not sure if he would be worth the bad publicity for a team to bring him in

But there is also the question of post release parole. Typically, inmates go from prison to halfway houses and then they are on parole for a period of years. Typically that parole requires you to remain in your state and you can only venture out with permission from your parole officer or the court. I did some research on that aspect and parole can be from 3-5 years for felonies that are class B in Nevada.
