Everyone keeps missing the forest for the trees. Cousins doesnt mean Mendoza wont start, it just means he doesn't have to. If he comes into camp and looks like the second coming and blows Cousins out of the water, he will start week 1. If not and its close they probably give the nod to Cousins for a few weeks.

That is a solid f’n human being right there. Big kudos to his parents. That young man is very easy to root for. And he’s a Raider. He’s our QB.
I, for just a moment, am tempted to ask how we got so lucky, but a simple glance at the carrnage and desolation in the rearview quickly reminds me that we earned it.
Raider Nation has spent decades pushing forward through countless failure and embarrassment, but still all the grey beards are here, still Raider Nation has grown.
These unbreakable unbowed shoulders of a nation stand firm to raise you after victory.
Let’s f[raiders_icon]cking go Mendo!!!

Wow,...whether or not FM becomes the Raiders' Messiah that we've been waiting for has yet to be proven.
But setting football aside for a moment, I'd be very surprised if there's anyone here who would not want their Son to grow up to be just like Fernando...what an incredibly grounded and humble young man.

I had my glory years in the 70s and 80s.
My son became a Raiders fan about 12 years ago. He's 24 now.
For these years we watched each game.
I prayed he'd someday enjoy the glory I did.
These days are for you Thomas.

You're talking about Elway I assume. It's interesting to look back and see how different the game used to be. If a QB, no matter who it was, would get sat if he was stinking up the field long enough. Today though, unless the guy is injured, he's just left out there like an expensive crash test dummy that takes even more punishment from the press and fans on social media.Rabidraider wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 8:50 am Lost to Raiders 22-7...
123/259 completions, 1,663 passing yards, 7 TDs, 14 INTs. his first season.
a passer rating of 54.9

Yeah, and we've seen that quit a few times with many teams in recent years. "We drafted you in the early rounds, now get your ass out there and take it like a man."Opoponax50 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 8:03 am You're talking about Elway I assume. You could've been yellow carded over this statement.DanKD wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 11:48 pm Ty Simpson will sit behind Cousins for a whole season. Mendoza will probably start for the Jets

to think, if some of the raiderfans got their way we would have won more then one more game and sabotaged ourselves, thank god most of us got our way and tanked for fernando and a new beginning for raidenationGoodTimeCharlie wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 4:05 pm That is a solid f’n human being right there. this kid is perfect to restart the raiders run back to greatness...what a great new face for our franchise, on top of adding tom brady as an owner and adding a hedgefund kingpin as an owner with the rights to completely buy the team...lets goraidersince63 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 5:02 pm Wow,...whether or not FM becomes the Raiders' Messiah that we've been waiting for has yet to be proven.

Do you live in some bizarro world where the fans control the outcome of the games?mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:25 pm to think, if some of the raiderfans got their way we would have won more then one more game and sabotaged ourselves, thank god most of us got our way and tanked for fernando and a new beginning for raidenation
