How many of us on this forum have actually seen Bernie play in a live game?
I'm one.
I did as well. He was very underrated.

I saw many of his games on TV and twice I think live. Schottenheimer had the best comment on when describing his passing style as a controlled forward fumble. Bernie had a funky delivery but it worked for him. Bernie was probably held back by the Marty Ball offense but it also probably extended his career. His ring with Dallas, while he did very little to earn it, is probably the most justifiable ring not earned by any player in the league's history.

Reports are Mendoza is not going to attend the Draft so he can share the experience with his family. Good kid for sure. Gonna kinda suck not to see him walk out in the Raiders cap, but I like this move.

Elsa Mendoza (Mendo's Mom) has MS and is often stuck in a seat or wheelchair. I'm sure the NFL would accommodate her, but she would certainly have a spotlight on her in a wheelchair as opposed to the other players' moms on the red carpet. I do think this is Fernando making things as comfortable as possible for the #1 person in his life, which I commend the lad for. He's a real good kid.

We will see him put on the draft hat for the Raiders. He may not be at the draft but you gotta know they will have a camera man there at his draft party to capture the moment. We will not be deprived a thing, and at the draft they will also have it on the big screen there. This is not usual for the first pick, but it happens from time to time.

Who wants to see him shake hands with that clown Goodell anyway. Rather him be home.

Beat me to it...the whole draft day scene is simply a bunch of "made for TV" manufactured drama for the NFL.

I'd rather see him hug his Mom than to take pictures with Goodell.
