Succession Plan
Probably doesn’t need its own thread but I thought it would be Brady. Or is that still Brady?

Just pointing out the extreme cognitive disonnance it takes to post a stat where the Raiders outperform the majority and try to spin it as a negative. Clearly you're being intellectually dishonest in your argument. My actual opinion is a bit more nuanced than Mark is a success because the business is a financial success. I do think the product on the field needs to improve for that to be the case, but I also do not think Mark's tenure has been an abject failure.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 7:25 pm So you’re one of the fans I spoke of who happens to also be an accountant. I mentioned it in the post you’re quoting. I also mentioned that’s it’s pretty f[raiders_icon]cking stupid as a football fan to be crowing about franchise/owner worth when the product we actually care about is whether our football team is good or not. Good btw, is usually based on whether the team wins football games.
I do find it amusing seeing the white knuckled teeth clenching when anyone tries to point out any of the positives. Reminds me of a dude who used to defend the coliseum's plumbing because he felt personally spited by Mark Davis moving his team to a different state.

Yes of course, so similar to a guy defending an old coliseum’s plumbing. Nothing like people defending a QB who couldn’t produce wins by showing us stats that are suppose to express how he’s actually good at his job.NoThanksSir wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 4:53 am Just pointing out the extreme cognitive disonnance it takes to post a stat where the Raiders outperform the majority and try to spin it as a negative. I think at the end of the day; Mark does love the raiders and he has been trying to put a winning team on the field….The raiders right now are in position to get a franchise QB and everything is starting to look positive; I do think the raiders will struggle this year but they will be a better team.
Right now with Mark mom dying; he could have sold his share of the team and move on; but he didn’t

your just projecting your vision of what mark is, will you still be saying that if we start winning ????raidersince63 wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 1:01 pm Tried to explain it for you but I cannot understand it for you.
If Mark had not been fortunate enough to be Al's Son, he probably would have ended up as a pastry chef.
ps you think it was easy being al's son ??? you have no idea what his life was like being under al's big shadow...but once he got out of the shadows he has done something special with his ops going from 31st poorest owner to now middle of the pack (450 million to 5 billion) he has proven he's got what it take to thrive

your still stuck on his education at chico state but it was mark vision for vegas and it was his will to move to vegas, at every turn mark was the one making the decisions because thats how it works...the owner has a vision and tells his right hand to see if it can happen, his right hand does the work and brings it back to him, the owner reviews it and makes the decisions to go forward or not, thats how the corporate structure works...whats so hard to understand nothing happens without marks vision and decisionsAttyla wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 1:07 pm Mark is not a genius. How hard is this to understand. He barely graduated from Chico state. He needed much smarter men and business men than he was to get the stadium deal done. Hell, had McCallum not stepped in, no way in hell could he have gotten a meeting with Adelson. And without Jones, no way in hell does he get a meeting with BoA. And without Badain's financial knowledge, the deal would have been far worse.
mcallum does nothing without mark asking him to, badain does nothing without mark asking and tasking him with the job, mark and the raiders already had a relationship with boa, mark reminded jerry that he had screwed him over with the los angeles deal and jones then got involved due to a debt he owed al putting more pressure on boa to make the loan ...at every turn its mark pushing things, not the other way

Actually, McCallum reached out to Davis, not the other way around. Badain negotiated with Jones to make the deal and kept Davis in the loop. It was also Jone's business savvy that was on full display. I don't see genius in that. You do, good for you. You are on an island there, read the room, the forum is not with you on this for good reason.

Sure, but only if you stipulate in return that the last horrible 15 years of misery and losing were Mark's responsibility. You see, if you wanna give him credit for winning that has yet to happen, you also have to condemn him for the losing.

Mark Davis sought out former Raiders running back Napoleon McCallum to help arrange a meeting with casino magnate Sheldon Adelson to facilitate the Raiders' move to Las Vegas.

You know, a simple google search might have helped you but I'm not sure...I found a video that shows it and hell, it might even be you that made the video. I also found it amusing that you did not address my other reply (6 posts above)(you know the one)...but hey, that's OK, I guess you just have a lot on your plate right now.mstrbass2000 wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 10:43 am GOOD FOR YOU ...in other words your don't know if teh light goes out
