Probably doesn’t need its own thread but I thought it would be Brady. Or is that still Brady?

You can spin this any way you want. Mark inherited a team barely solvent and is now a multi billionaire who is rolling in money and it will continue to pour in non stop until his final days.
Not saying he is a genius but if that's a bad thing I want in.

He was smart enough to say yes to the things he should have and no to the things he shouldn’t. In the end it got him and the Raiders into the envious financial position they’re in now.

NFL franchise values and growth (2011 to 2025)

1. Los Angeles Rams, +1020%, $10.5B
2. Las Vegas Raiders, +930%, $7.7B
3. Los Angeles Chargers, +910%, $6.9B
4. San Francisco 49ers, +880%, $8.6B
5. Philadelphia Eagles, +870%, $8.3B
6. New York Jets, +860%, $8.1B
7. Chicago Bears, +850%, $8.2B
8. Washington Commanders, +840%, $7.6B
9. Miami Dolphins, +830%, $7.5B
10. New York Giants, +820%, $10.1B
11. New England Patriots, +800%, $9.0B
12. Houston Texans, +790%, $7.4B
13. Denver Broncos, +770%, $6.8B
14. Seattle Seahawks, +760%, $6.7B
15. Atlanta Falcons, +750%, $6.6B
16. Green Bay Packers, +740%, $6.65B
17. Kansas City Chiefs, +730%, $6.2B
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, +720%, $6.6B
19. Minnesota Vikings, +710%, $6.5B
20. Carolina Panthers, +700%, $6.3B
21. Indianapolis Colts, +690%, $6.2B
22. Cleveland Browns, +680%, $6.1B
23. Baltimore Ravens, +670%, $6.0B
24. Tennessee Titans, +660%, $5.9B
25. Arizona Cardinals, +650%, $5.5B
26. New Orleans Saints, +640%, $5.3B
27. Jacksonville Jaguars, +620%, $5.6B
28. Buffalo Bills, +610%, $5.8B
29. Detroit Lions, +600%, $5.4B
30. Cincinnati Bengals, +590%, $5.25B
31. Pittsburgh Steelers, +580%, $5.9B
32. Dallas Cowboys, +550%, $13.0B

As you can see, an increase in team value is/was inevitable, even for the dogshit franchises, and relocating really pumps the numbers. Had the Raiders not been cockblocked on a move to LA, I imagine they’d be worth more than the Rams.

Having said that, it seems pretty f[raiders_icon]cking bizarre that any fan really gives a shit about what an owner or franchise is worth. Unless you’re about to marry into that shit or you’ve got a blood test proving you’re the sweet cherubic offspring of Doofus Davis, who gives a f[raiders_icon]ck. I guess some folk are just gaggin’ to hang their fan hat somewhere.

There is no better measuring stick for whether an owner is good or bad than the product on the field. You know, the football games. The Wins and Losses, Playoffs, Super Bowls, Championship Rings. That’s why we watch. That’s why we became fans. Maybe there are some fans who are also accountants, but what the actual f[raiders_icon]ck. Smh.

Mark Davis has been an apocalyptically bad owner, and even has that opportunity by being an apocalyptically lucky sperm. Outside of a few truly ignorant fools on this site, I can’t imagine anyone that posts here doing a worse job than he has.

I reserve my most profound Raider hate for flotsam like DC & Geno...I really never think about MD he doesn't move the needle for me one way or another except for the camel toe & bowl cut of course which is hard to ever really get out of ones memory banks!

All of that evidently goes to prove that "genius" is a relative term.

Raiders worth more in LV, they would have been a 2nd rate tenant to the Rams who own the stadium.

Mark did the most important things right, remain solvent and profitable, that's business. Winning is a goal within that.

I don't think MD is a bad owner. He tries, it's just the decisions he makes and has made are piss poor. He pays well and seemingly treats everyone well. Now that we have a gm that seems competent, he's smart enough to keep out of those decisions

I agree he's not the one coaching or playing at a putrid level, hopefully the years of futility end this year :fingerscrossed:
