2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)

Unread post by RaiderFan1 »

Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.

#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.

#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.

Sounds like solid gets

Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there

Who else you like ?

Even though they already know they're drafting Mendoza, my guess is that they use a 30 visit on him. It's an opportunity to spend the day with him and basically start coaching him and teaching him the offensive system.

Who knows, maybe some of our recent draft picks takes a step forward. Good to see that some guys are putting in effort on their own to make it happen.

I think he might be able to make the roster via ST but he was kind of atrocious whenever he was on the field but yes, at least he's out there training for the upcoming season

2OTs and 2 OGs seems like overkill. Only 1 DT. No RB. No K. No developmental QB.

Developmental qb??? Mendoza will be on the roster. Why the hell do you need another Developmental qb in the draft? You can find kickers anywhere. There's udfa and guts from the UFL having success

Getting a couple NT's and backs will be key. I think a RT and a guard in the draft would button up the Oline talent pretty nicely.

Defense: NT, FS

Offense: RT, RB2

To me the biggest needs on each side. RT IMO could be Grant but depth is needed even if he starts. Jeanty is excellent but you need multiple fully capable 25-30 carry guys there. One is none with backs and the same for NT. Need realistically two as it's the point of attack and fundamental for a 3 man line. There isn't a FS on the roster just straight up. That's a pretty big hole and ideally you get two. Line of scrimmage to me takes priority so I list NT first.

That obviously doesn't include the potential of best player available and the option to add another receiver, guard, corner etc etc. Can't fill every possible hole with the best possible prospects. You have to choose priorities. FA was a good start

RB are a dime a dozen, pick up an UDFA. A kicker? We have two. OUr developmetal QB is Mendoza.

There is no such thing as drafting too many linemen.

I mean you ideally want your draft picks to make the roster. We do not have roster room for four rookie offensive lineman. Id say two maximum

Do not draft a kicker. Who gives one f[raiders_icon]ck if we have a developmental QB on the roster. The point of the draft is to take the best player available when you are at bat. Not to take a position. I do not know how the draft will fall but the best teams take the player they feel is the best at their slot. The only exception is if you are picking high and are QB needy. Then you have to consider the best QB at your slot. Other than that, you take your guy. We got Bowers because teams were taking QBs like crazy. I even predicted that Bowers would not be there when we picked. I just did not see that level of QB runs. We got a piece that day simply because QB is so overvalued. We don't need a developmental QB after Mendoza. If one falls, I have no problem taking a day three guy, but only if he is the best player available. I am not jamming a square peg in a round hole simply to check some stupid box. If we are going to get a complete team, we need players who will fill certain roles. And no, don't draft a kicker. We have a kicker on the roster and we are only going to carry one. If you want camp competition at kicker, take a free agent one. But it is a complete waste of a pick to take one in the draft.

.....I know that right tackle seems the bigger uncertainty at the moment, but Miller is increasingly less likely to get through a season at left tackle, and we are at the point where drafting his potential replacement has to be a thought. ...even if it is a guy with all of the tools, but' is raw',for whatever reason, whether having outgrown TE or whatever, and we take a shot at him not with our highest picks, but perhaps with one of those 4th rounders....

I think the Raiders accomplished this already when they drafted Grant- a guy with all the tools but raw, who needs development.

If that's the case... he better start developing this year. I don't see Miller playing much longer.
