Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Good lord Denver overpaid! Waddle is the definition of overrated. Always banged up too.

It depends if MacDonald or Hunter drop to #36 then you have to consider it but i don’t think we will
I do think the 3rd Round is where you have to start thinking about NT because there is a drop off after the Corleone & Orange who might be gone by the 4th
Apart from QB, RB, TE & C i think any position is in play in the 2nd
Starting to like Iheanachor at #36 because he is an ideal fit for what Kubiak does but i have no preference anymore after we loaded up at LB & can’t see us taking Jacob Rodriguez anymore if he makes it to us

Miami is doing what they need to do. Better to bite the bullet and do a propert rebuild

If Waddle went for all that, what the hell is Philly asking for Brown?

There's probably 10 Waddles in this draft

To the first bolded part, I’d say nearly all of it. That’s my opinion. Absolute terrible coaching & scheme. We all know, coaching &, preparation are extreme factors to success in the NFL. 100% vital. They had the worst in those areas. Not to mention, 2 rookies &, a 2nd year player that you would have wanted to start. So it was even more crucial since you had players 0 to near 0 experience with some. Plus you throw in the fact that, Glaze/Meredith were light years better the year prior. That’s why I’d put so much blame on the coaching last year.raiders93 wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 8:39 am Everything you say makes sense, though I guess I still have questions about our o-line.
Last year, it was an unmitigated disaster. One of the worst units I’ve seen in a long, long time. Now granted, miller was hurt and JPJ was hurt and it certainly got worse as we lost those 2… but it wasn’t good even with those 2.
How much of the collective output can be attributed to a bad o-line coach and a dysfunctional offensive scheme? How much growth are we expecting out of 2 young guys that Pete seemed absolutely reluctant to play for most of the year?
I ask that because on paper, we’ve only added 1 guy to an absolutely awful o-line. Mind you, that 1 guy is a superstar… but nevertheless, 1 guy. It’s all opinion from this point on but, is the idea that: linderbaum kind of adds cohesion to the unit + we get much better coaching + we get some meaningful development out of the 2 relative question marks (rogers and grant).
Then to add the second bolded part to this. Miller was coming back from injury &, didn’t play well for the first several games. Then played very well once he shook that off but, got injured & missed the end of the season. JPJ didn’t even play cause of the stupid coaches son. Rogers & Grant only played at the very end of the season but, looked good when they did. So, a fully healthy Miller, a top C added, JPJ/Rogers/Grant…it’s like the line is completely overhauled. Miller is the only one who played significant snaps last year but really, was only himself for half of it. So it’s like adding 5 new starters that all are known to be good when healthy or, 2 young guns who have great traits &, can be good starters this year as well.
That’s how I see it. Why I have more confidence in the oline than the ones who don’t.

Couldn’t disagree with this more. DT is absolutely the biggest need on this team, is a PREMIUM position that, makes all the difference on the field. Getting a DT early would be a great idea…for any team. Especially this one.

I never said it wasnt a need. But one can be had in the 3rd or later. Which is why IMO, its not the biggest need on this team. Protecting our franchise QB is the biggest need ATM.MexicanHulk wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 10:46 am Couldn’t disagree with this more. I don't think Brown can realistically be traded before June 1, because of the dead cap hit for Philly.Rabidraider wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 9:03 am If Waddle went for all that, what the hell is Philly asking for Brown?

Did we draft two Waddles last year?
